Gaius quietly opened the door to his chambers. He saw Merlin staring at him, his face full of curiousness, wanting to know what Arthur said.
"So," said The young warlock, he used his elbow to sit himself up a little, "what did Arthur say happened last night?"
Gaius took a deep breathe, not sure if he should tell him that he didn't know, or tell him the lie the King had told him. Gaius decided to tell exactly what the King had said.
"He simply said that he got lost on his journey to a river, and he could not find his way back to you guys so he camped out by himself for a bit until he woke up again, only then when he tried to search for you guys once more, he found himself back at Camelot."
When Gaius looked up to see Merlin's reaction, his mouth was open and his eyes were halfway opened, his facial expression showed that he did not believe a word of what Arthur told Gaius.
"I know Arthur, and he is great at hunting in the woods and finding his way back to places. There is no way he would have gotten lost, and there is no possible way he would leave me in those woods alone with Gwaine dying. I mean how could he-"
"Merlin," Gaius said abruptly interrupting him. Merlin just looked at him, held his breathe, waiting to hear what he could possible say right now.
"I don't believe Arthur, not even a little bit." Merlin exhaled, calming down a bit, he was glad they were on the same side of things, "there is something that happened between the time he went to search for a river, to the time that he got back to Camelot, we just don't know what that is yet."

"Come in," yells Arthur.
The door creaks open, and in came Gwaine.
"Sire," said Gwaine as he bowed a little then closed the door behind him. He then entwined his two hands behind his back together and waited there silently for the King to say something.
"Is there something I can do for you Gwaine," the King asked as he stared at Gwaine suspiciously.
"Where were you last night sire, after you left Merlin and I?" Gwaine said sounding a little frightened.
Arthur rolled his eyes and got up from his chair.
"You know Gwaine, you are probably the third person to ask me that same question." Arthur replied. He walked over to his shelf to grab some more papers to work on when Gwaine notices something strange. There was something big and black in the back of Arthur's neck. It looked like it was moving. Arthur turned around and looked at Gwaine to see his mouth was wide open in shock.
"I got lost Gwaine," said Arthur who was weirded out.
Gwaine shook himself out of it and replied to the prince, "I'm sorry sire, got lost?"
"Yes Gwaine," said the King as he loudly put the stack of papers on the table, "You asked me what happened, or where I was to be exact, and I just told you, I got lost, in the woods."
"I have to go, you know, check up on Merlin, so I'm going to go now," said Gwaine suspiciously as he turned the door knob about to head out until Arthur said something else.
"Oh yes, Merlin, how is my, Manservant?"
"Why don't you come see for yourself?" Said Gwaine intensely.
Arthur raised his eyebrows at Gwaine's remark.
"Hm, maybe later," said Arthur, sounding like he didn't care to at all.
Gwaine quickly left after that, and went straight back to his room.

Authors note: I'm posting two chapters in a row, I hope you like the next one, I've been waiting so long to write it. Just remember that Arthur has the fomorroh in his neck, and he's practically evil, all he can think of when he hears Merlin's name is how much he wants to kill him, anyways I hope you guys are liking this story, reviews would be nice!!! :)
