THE TEAPOT WHISTLED, JANE POURED her tea into her cup carefully, scared that something bad would happen again like it occasionally does. For one year she had done all she can to isolate herself so she can avoid endangering people.

Sophia told her that she would help her whenever she can and however she can to keep her safe. Everything went wrong after that for college. She had broken at least a dozen windows and lamps. Whatever she did, she managed to tell them that she felt she wanted to change schools after only a year, of course you'd need a parental confirmation for that so she got it.

Instead, to keep herself busy, she also spent those two years trying to find a clue of where her parents might have gone. She dug deep and spared no expense to find any clue of evidence of where they could be around her house. The letter they left on the fridge two years ago was obviously a lie so she had to know where they are.

Any hint she has on where they are, are all written in her notebook. What she has got so far is Washington, D.C., Russia, New Jersey, and New Zealand.

She reached out to her tea but was stopped due to a knock on the door. She hasn't expected a guest in months, let alone wanted.

She didn't know whether to open the door or not — Sophia didn't say anything about opening doors to men wearing eye patches.

"Miss Andrews?" The man called out through the door which caught her off guard, how did he know her name?

Though she just stood there, shocked. "Miss Andrews, I know you're there." He called out again. Which she still didn't reply to. "I can assure you, we are not here to hurt you."

After some time of thinking, she braced herself and opened her door just enough for the man in black to see half of her face.

"Do I know you?" She asked almost inaudible, her face worn out, and her eyes full of secrets. "May I come in?" He asked. She just stood there, half of her face blocked out of the view, not knowing what to do or who to trust.

"Miss Andrews, we're not here to hurt you." He repeated. The fact that he said we, considering he was most probably alone at the time made her feel uneasy. She stood there for a couple more seconds before letting him in.

"My name is Nick Fury, I know you have a lot of questions right now. And I promise you that I will try and answer all of them if you would trust me." Said the man. "Especially answers about your parents' whereabouts, I presume?"

She just looked at him, confused and shocked — also with the fact that she couldn't believe she let him in her house.

"Ho–how did you find me?" She asked him. "We've been watching your family for years." He chuckled a bit.
