THE FIGHTING HAD STOPPED, THE battle was over. Jane found herself standing in front of Thor and Loki in a circle with the others as they made their way back to Asgard. The rest of the team bid their goodbyes and farewells, returning to their own homes, except for Jane, who is still figuring out what she's going to do after this.

She returned with Natasha and Clint in their S.H.I.E.L.D. car. They were taking her to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters for her to get her belongings back.

The ride there wasn't really silent, it more of Clint saying that if he had the time, he would get a Golden Retriever, and name it Lucky and train it, and Natasha saying that something was stupid merely minutes later.

Soon enough after they got there, Natasha and Clint left Jane to Agent Sitwell, who she recognized was one of the agents from the helicarrier.

"These are all the things we could find that survived the ambush at your house." He said, showing her two boxes that he put on a table.

"Thank you." She said to him, immediately rushed to the boxes and look through it.

"In the meanwhile, agent Harrison has volunteered to share her apartment with you in D.C." He said after a couple of seconds. "D.C.? I'm moving?" She looked up at him.

"That depends . . . Do you already have a place to stay here in New York?"

     "Well . . . No, but–"

"Exactly." Agent Sitwell said at once. "Agent Harrison is being moved to D.C. for the time being, seeing as you two had already met and are comfortable with each other, it should be easier for you to move in." He finished.

She didn't say anything, she didn't have a choice either. Agent Sitwell broke the silence by handing her a box.

"You leave in about thirty minutes." He said as he looked at his watch. "Wait, what? But–"

"I don't see any problem with that. Do you? You've got all your belongings already packed right here." As much as she hated to admit it, he had a point. She was just not ready to leave her hometown.

"Director Fury told me to ask you if you wanted to join S.H.I.E.L.D. We could use your help, you know."

"Join S.H.I.E.L.D.?" She repeated. "I don't think I'm very skilled at that." She stated with a doubtful tone. "You will be. If you choose to join, that is . . ." He said to her, now helping her with the boxes. "You're saying . . . You-you'll train me?" She looked at him.

"Yes. What else are you gonna do?"

She paused and took time to think about what her next decision will be. After much thinking she settled on agreeing with him — if she's going to have these powers, she's going to have to live with it. If anything, she wants to be able to control it.

"Alright." She mumbled unconsciously. "Excuse me?" Agent Sitwell leaned a bit closer to her. "I'll join S.H.I.E.L.D." She said a bit louder.

Agent Sitwell smiled and reached for something in his pocket, Jane wondered what it was until she saw a small square he was holding, he instantly tossed it to her and she caught it with a free hand, a bit startled.

     "Welcome to Level 1, Agent."
