“She can’t do that!” Hikaru thundered, bursting through the door. His brother, Kaoru, was close behind, lurking like a shark at the scent of blood. Tamaki simply smiled, turning his back to me.
“Boys, boys, I think it’s a great idea, don’t you? Indie would be a spectacular contribution. We need to expand our horizon, isn’t that right, Kyoya?”
“I must say, it’s an interesting idea.” He agreed. Haruhi looped arms with me, but I was frozen solid. A minute ago, I opened up my heart. Now, I found myself surrounded by a bunch of idiots arguing over me. This wasn’t at all what I had signed up for.
“What’s she gonna do? Cross dress? We already have one of those!” Hikaru spat. Kaoru sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. They must have been eavesdropping, because a second ago it was just a discussion between the Host President and Vice President. Now the two red headed bandits were bouncing all over the place. Hikaru fuming and Kaoru lingering eagerly at the taste of drama.
“You’ll have to excuse my brother,” he grinned, “he’s an idiot. But I have to say, I’m curious too. We already have the perfect blend of people here, how will we fit Indie into the mix?”
“Haruhi?” Tamaki asked, inching a brow upward. She smiled, shoving me forward.
“I don’t think we need another boy.” Haruhi stated, confidence drenched her voice. I shivered, feeling the four boys eye me. “I think she’s cute enough as she is, in fact, I think adding a girl, a real girl to the team might spice things up. How many horny boys do you know? Boys who can’t quite get a date? Enters Indie.”
“Wait, so that’s what this is? I’m going to be a prostitute?” Finally, the truth had sunken in. “I don’t think I’m comfortable with this.”
“Nonsense!” Tamaki sang exploding out of his chair. Kyoya rolled his eyes, scribbling things down on his clipboard. “My love, you’ll be a princess the knights of the school will fight over.”
“In other words, I’ll be a hooker and you’ll be my pimp. Pass.”
Kaoru snickered, but his brother shut him up with a single glare. I watched as the smile slowly slipped off Tamaki’s face. Haruhi elbowed me hard in the side; I winced in pain.
“Indie, you’re not going to be a hooker. You’re not going to turn tricks for cash, and you’re not really going to date any of the guys. It’s just simple flirting.” She tried. I wrinkled my nose in disgust. It still sounded sketch to me.
“What type could I be anyways? I mean, even if I agreed to this, whatever this is, what could I be?”
“Yeah, she has no talent! No personality!” Hikaru hissed. “She can’t join, even if there was room.”
“Hikaru,” Kaoru whispered, placing a hand on his shoulder. Hikaru violently shrugged him off. I watched in silence.
“She has no talents!” He screamed. “She can’t do anything!”
“That’s not true.” Tamaki said, rising a finger. “She’s got a lovely, broken smile and a sad look in her eye that any boy would love to curl up in and try to comfort her. Isn’t that right, Kyoya?”
