Kylie's POV:
When we got up the next morning, I was super excited. I mean sure, it had only been a couple of days since I'd seen Dana, but I missed him like crazy. Our nightly Skype chats just weren't cutting it anymore. Not to mention the fact I needed to put on the charm. He still hasn't kissed me yet. Bull, right? He'll hold my hand, hug me, tell me I'm beautiful and perfect, but he hasn't kissed me yet. I mean yeah, we're both super young, but that doesn't mean anything! UGH. Boys...
I decided to go out for breakfast before Charlie woke up. I didn't really feel like cooking today, and I still had some money left over. I was really bummed, though. One more week and vacation around here would be up, which meant I had to go to school. That also meant that I wouldn't be able to see Dana on the weekdays, since I worked after school got out. But I was going to enjoy this week no matter what!
I came back 15 minutes later with bagles, and a still sleeping Charlie. I furrowed my brow, when I remembered that Cole had stayed over. I shrugged it off and set the food out on the counter before making a pot of coffee. I made caramel vanilla coffee, Charlie's favorite, and I counted down. Aha! There it was! I heard the thud from Charlie's room, and knew she had jumped from her bed as she had the previous morning. I just hoped that I didn't have to untangle her from any blankets today.
I set out her mug, a customized one she'd bought in Florida that says 'Charlie has Puff Pride'. I grabbed out my own IM5 mug, and munched on my half of a bagle while waiting for the coffee to brew.
20 minutes later, Charlie finally came out dressed in a spiffy little purple number. It was odd, seeing her in a dress, but she pulled it off. She had on the crop top leather jacket we'd bought in Florida over it, and her bracelets trailed her arms. I heard the shower running, so I didn't grab out a third mug just yet. "Mornin' sunshine! Coffee's done, and I got you a bagle!" She grinned and skipped to the coffee pot, pouring herself a cup before attacking it with sugar. She sighed as she sat on the barstool, kicking her feet.
"We leave in like...20 minutes, so you know. You might wanna get dressed." I nodded and set down my cup, skipping into my room. It was still a little plain, I had to admit, but I would add to it as time went on. I didn't know how long we would be living here, after all. Charlie had been talking about maybe getting a house once her checks started to roll in.
I quickly changed into comfortable clothes, but still presentable. I wore a pair of dark blue sweat pants, the bottoms tucked into my high tops so the tongue stuck out. I rolled up one pant leg a quater of the way and threw on my plain black hoodie before I placed Dana's snapback onto my head. He'd almost cried when I stole it, but now he seemed perfectly fine with me having it.
Cole was at the counter when I came back out, and he and Charlie were just making kissy faces at each other. I groaned and moved to the counter. I slid the second half of my bagel to him before I finished up my coffee. I poured myself a travel mug full before we all migrated to the car. Everyone else was going to meet us at the studio, and since Charlie didn't know where exactly it was, Cole drove. It was strange seeing him drive the tiny purple car.
When we got there, everyone was waiting out front. Charlie jumped on Dalton's back, demanding a piggy back ride to our room, and I just skipped up to Dana, a grin on my face. "My hat looks really good on you, ya know that right?" I just grinned and nodded at him as he took his hand in mine and led me into the studio. Everyone else was behind us, so Dana and I got the couch. I laid down with my head in his lap and we just chatted like we usually did. Of course, when everyone else came in, Cole and Charlie took the recliner, Gabe and will sat on the floor, and Dalton stole a spinning chair, in which he refused to stop spinning.
The day was boring, mostly. I was stuck in the room by myself for a while so they could work on arrangements for the songs, but I had to smile because Dana was texting me through the whole thing. When everyone started recording, Dana took his place back on the couch with me, not saying anything, just playing with my hair. His hand left for a moment and I frowned, but it returned shortly after. When my phone buzzed, Dana took my hands, holding them in place. "Look at it when I go in the booth." The suspicion was killing me for fifteen minutes. When Dana finally got into the booth I held up my phone, and instantly dropped it. Charlie gave me a look, and moved to sit with me on the couch. She peered at my phone and her jaw dropped. She gave a little squeal and hugged me tightly as I typed away a quick answer to him.
"Girl, I told you Dylie was going to happen." She just hugged me tighter as I stared back down at my phone, this giant grin on my face.
"I know this isn't something you should ask through a text, but I really can't say the words without grinning, and that doesn't make it as serious. Kylie, be mine?"
"Of course."
