Chapter 32

"Welcome to London." Simon said as we all filed into his office. It has been two months and we had finished the American leg of the tour. I had gotten my cast removed two days ago and the stitches were gone but they had left a small scar.
"Hi Si!" I said sitting down between Niall and Liam.
"Hi uncle Simon." The boys said together.
"So Alice how have the first five months of the tour been?" Simon asked folding his hands together.
"It's been amazing. I hate to think that in 2 months I'll be going back to New Jersey." I said shrugging.
"Well speaking of that. We were hopping that you've been working on your music." Simon said
"I have been I have a song written and I've been trying to get a second one done." I said smiling proudly.
"Well that is great. So after the tour ends boys you will be starting your two year break. Alice you on the other hand will have a month off before we will have you working in the studio. I've already put a year long lease on a studio in Philadelphia so you have about a year to make an album. Do you think that is possible?" He asked leaning forward on the desk.
"Yeah it'll take a lot of work but I'll get it done." I said nodding.
"Now Louis, Harry, Zayn, and Liam will you please leave so I can talk with Niall and Alice?" Simon said giving the other boys a look. They didn't argue they all just stood up and walked out. I felt my hands start to shake and I couldn't stop biting my lip. Once the door shut Simon opened up his drawer and pulled out a stack of papers.
"No would you two like to explain these?" Simon said throwing the papers down on the table. They were pictures of Niall and I on the balcony back in California. I was in Niall's lap and we were kissing.
"W-where did these come from?" Niall asked looking at them with his mouth wide open.
"A photographer sent them to me before they were to be sent to the public. We had to pay him a large amount of money so he wouldn't publish them. Now explain." Simon said sitting back in his seat.
"Alice and I have been secretly dating for 2 months now. We didn't want anyone to know. The boys found out on their own. We didn't want this to happen." Niall said looking down at his lap.
"Si I'm so.." I was about to apologize when Simon slammed his hand down on the desk causing me to jump back.
"Damn it Alice! You have caused so many problems with boys in the past few months. Now this relationship ends right now. I don't want to see anymore pictures like this understand? If we find out that you two are still together both of you will be severely punished." Simon said. I could tell he was mad.
"What kinds of punishments?" Niall asked.
"Alice I can and will fire you and remove you from the tour if you still happen to be on it. Niall you will have a large pay cut and will go on probation." Simon said. I felt my stomach drop. I felt tears start to fall from my eyes. I could loose my job for falling in love.
"Now do you both understand?" Simon said. I didn't lift my head or say anything.
"Simon you can't do this!" Niall yelled standing up. I can't loose this job it's been my dream for far to long.
"Niall stop. I'm sorry but it's over." I said standing up and running out of the room. I couldn't seem to breath. I had lost all feeling in my body. I ran past all the boys who kept calling my name. I didn't stop running. The tears blurred my vision as I ran out of the building. I couldn't stand being there anymore I needed air.

--- 3 hours later ---
I had reached Liam's apartment building. I've been walking for awhile and I still hadn't stopped crying. My feet were killing me in my boots. The thin hoodie I had on wasn't doing anything to protect me from the London air. I pulled out my phone to find the address Liam had texted me earlier. I walked up to the door and buzzed.
"Hello?" I heard someone ask.
"It's Alice." I said sniffling as I wiped a few tears away. I heard a buzzing sound and the door unlocked. I took the elevator up to his floor and found his door. I knocked and it was opened.
"Alice?" Liam said pulling me closer to him. I started to sob again
"My heart hurts." I said into his chest.
"I know come on sit down and talk with us." Liam said walking me towards the living room. When I looked up I met Niall's eyes.
"Alice how could you do that to me?" Niall asked as his voice cracked.
"I don't know Niall. I still have feelings for you. Feelings that will never go away but I can't screw this up. I'm sorry." I said trying to keep my voice steady.
"You're so selfish Alice!" Niall yelled at me making me jump back in fear. What happened to my Niall?
"I'm sorry Niall but all you were going to loose was a few hundred dollars and the right to go to a bar. I was gonna loose everything!" I yelled back not bothering I stop the tears from still falling.
"How could you just walk away?" He asked looking me in the the eyes.
"Cause it was the right thing to do for both of us. This was a stupid idea in the first place Niall. I'm 16 and you're 20. It would have never worked out. I still like you though." I said.
"Keep telling me that Alice I know you only wanted me to get you ahead." Niall spat at me. Thats when I felt the tightness in my chest return and I couldn't breath again. I ran to the closest room and slammed the door behind me. I slid down the wall as I tried to breath. I was sobbing at this point and I couldn't control myself. I love Niall and now I can't be with him.
