"When I feel cold, you warm me, and when I feel I can't go one, you come and hold me. It's you, and me forever, Sara smile. Oh, won't you smile awhile for me, Sara."- Sara Smile, by Hall & Oates

Nothing in particular woke me up. I was home, and I knew it was still late in the night. I was in the crop top from my dress, but the skirt was lying on my desk chair, and I was wearing pajama shorts.

I heard a faint clatter of dishes coming from downstairs. I sighed, and rolled out of bed. Before I went down, I threw on an extra large T-shirt, and threw the fancy crop top onto my bed. I walked down the stairs, and into the kitchen.

Sarah was standing there with a mug in her hands, and a People Magazine in front of her.

"Hey," I greeted her.

She looked up tiredly. She really did look exhausted. There were bags under her eyes, and her posture was slouched.

She smiled. "Hi."

I walked over to the counter that she was leaning on. "What time is it?" I yawned.

Sarah clicked her phone, "It's 2:30."

I yawned once more. "Too late."

"More like too early." Sarah chuckled, and flipped the page of her magazine.

I saw that there was a teapot on the stove. It was still steaming, so I took the opportunity to make myself a cup of tea too. "So what's keeping you up?" I asked.

Sarah shrugged and yawned. "Oh I don't know. Stress, and other stuff."

I nodded to myself, finishing up my tea making. Maybe this had something to do with Nate. I should ask.

"How are you and Nate?"

Sarah smiled brighter and said, "Oh we're great."

I spit out a little of my tea. "Wait so you two are a thing now?"

Sarah blushed and laughed awkwardly. "I mean I guess..." She trailed off.

"Did he ask you out or something?" I badgered for more information.

Sarah continued to hide her blush by staring at her magazine. "Well, he kissed me the other day, when we were trying to come up with something to get Ryan."

Again I choked on my tea, and then I began to grin like a madwoman. "Sarah Elizabeth!" I gasped.

She finally just covered her face, and let out a series of giggles.

"So, how was it?" I said with a smirk.

Sarah shook her head. "It was...great."

I smiled at her. I just couldn't help it. Nate and Sarah? Talk about a killer couple. I was happy for the two of them, but then I realized what she was probably thinking now, that could be keeping her up. "He hasn't mentioned it again, or tried to make things serious between you two, has he?" I asked concernedly.

Sarah pursed her lips and nodded. "Yep."

"Are you're worried?" I tilted my head.

"Not so much worried, just a little sad." Sarah explained. "It's not like he's kissing other girls and dismissing what happened between us, it's just that he kind of ignores it. Which makes me feel... I don't know..."
