March 13th 2027.
We watched for a moment as Sierra left to head for the ship to go meet up with Trace, then we got to moving.
"Are you sure that was the right thing to do?" Sterling looked cross with me, but I didn't care.
"She's family, I'm only trying to protect her."
"By hiding her?"
"If it keeps her safe, then yes." I snapped, "She's hurt right now. I don't-"
The castle shook due to a large explosion from the west wing.
"What on earth was that?"
"I think Ross and Lucas are one step ahead of us." Another explosion shook the floor.
" Maybe five." I said trying to stand up right.
The shaking stopped, but the silence broke as we heard the running footsteps of knights coming from all directions.
"Crap." Sterling looked at me.
"Shall we run for our lives?" He asked.
"Yes, let's." We started booking it down the hallway trying to avoid contact with the knights, until we made a wrong turn. We walked into the mess hall where of courses all the knights were at. The stared at us for a moment and we looked back at them.
"Shall we fight for our lives?" I asked.
"Yes, let's." Sterling said. We were horribly out numbered this time.
"Get them!" They shouted.
"Crap." We went into full battle and started fighting our way through the crowd of knights and pushing them back, but soon we were losing our advantage.
"Sterling!" I shouted trying to tell him to retreat, but a small group of knights had a hold of me and pinned me to the floor.
"No!" I shouted.
Not again!
"Hey!" The Knight turned around to see who was calling out to him and as soon as he was fully turned around he found himself on the floor with a red armored boot in his face. I looked up in fear and then suddenly found myself full of relief.
"Get up." Sierra told me pulling me to my feet.
"Ready?" She asked me.
"Always." I nodded.
Sierra took one of the knight's sword and she started plowing through the knights.
"Duck!" Sterling yelled. He shot an arrow past me landing into a knight's neck. I nodded at him and he extend his hand to me. I took hold of it and he pulled me closer than launched me into the air as I pulled out my pistols and began to make it rain bullets. Sierra had single handedly defeated half the room. We felt another explosion shake the room, which helped us to take the upper hand.
"Well that took longer than expected." Sierra said walking over the Knights making her way to us.
"How long were you hoping it would take?" I asked.
"Less time than this." She said. She was dressed in her armor with her hair tied up.
"Nice to see you're doing better." Sterling said.
"Thank you." She said,
"Now we going home or what?"
