Chapter 15

So today is the day we find out the gender of the baby. I'm not going to lie I'm kinda nervous. But I'll get over it. I wake JJ up and we get ready to go. Ali is driving us to the doctors, its not like we can go to a human one. We get downstairs and eat breakfast with the rest of the pack. We finish eating and get in the car. Ash ends up coming with us so I'm in the back with JJ. She's laying her head on my chest, we are trying to comfort each other because JJ has been in pain lately and I hate being in cars. I just try to think about other things like my lessons with the council. They told me about a trip coming up and I have to be away for a while. But I don't want to go, JJ is pregnant and I haven't left her for a long period of time since she's been back. I'm just really stressed out right now. I'm brought out of my thoughts when JJ kisses me. I kiss her back and she pulls away.

"Are you okay?" She ask.

I nod my head but JJ gives me this look.

"Don't lie to me." She says.

I sigh because I hate lying to her and she knows when I'm doing it.

"We'll talking later okay." I say.

She pecks my lips and I just look out the window until we pull into the hospital's parking lot. So here's the thing about our world its hidden in the human world. We have supernaturals who live among humans and then we have our hidden cities. They are in places you would never think to look. We get out of the car and walk into the hospital. Another thing about our world no matter how small or major your condition is you go to the hospital. I never lived in our world which is why some supernaturals don't like us. Here's a little background on supernaturals. Some live in our world and some live among humans. The reason for that is some supernaturals don't transform like we do, they don't look human. They think us supernaturals who live among human aren't as tough as them. Ali pulls into a parking space and we get out. We walk into the hospital and went to the front desk. She pointed us to the baby wing of the hospital. We checked in and waited for the doctor to call us. They had a couch in the waiting room that the four of us sat on. JJ was still in pain so she had her head in the crook of my neck. I felt a pair of eyes on me and when I looked up there was this guy giving us a weird look. I ignored for a few minuets but when I looked back up he was still looking at us.

"Can I help you?" I ask.

"No I'm just looking." The guy says.

"Hey its okay." JJ says and kisses my jaw.

He guy sucks his teeth and it sets me off.

"Come on dude what the hell is your problem?" I ask.

"You people." The guy says.

"Your just upset that your wife left you for another women." Ash says.

The guy grabs his things and leaves. I was going to get up and follow him but JJ pulled me back down. I was going to protest but the doctor called Julie's name and we went into the room.

"We should have beat his ass." I say.

"Right! I was ready to go with you." Ash says.

"Dude they would have killed us if we did though." I say.

"True." Ash says.

We both laugh and the doctor gives us a confused look. We just smirk and walk into the exam room. Julie sits on the exam table and I sit in the chair next to her. Ali and Ash stand off to the side. The doctor starts talking and I find out her name is Abha, she's been Julie's doctor for a while. She asks JJ a few questions and has her fill out some papers before doing an ultrasound. She turns the lights off and puts the gel on Julie's stomach. It was quite until we heard a hear beat and my eyes start watering.

"Do you guys wanna know the gender of your baby?" Doctor Abha ask.

Julie and I both nod our heads causing Ali and Ash to laugh.

"It's a girl." Doctor Abha says.

I smile then lean over and kiss Julie. Doctor Abha cleans the gel off of Julie's stomach and turns the lights back on.

"So until you give birth we will keep having your routine check ups and if anything is wrong come back immediately. Other than that you can go, congratulations to the both of you." Doctor Abha says.

We leave the room and go sign Julie out then make the trip back home. When in the house everyone is waiting for us.

"So what are you having?" Pinoe ask.

Or better yet I should say yells. Syd smacks her in the back of the head and I laugh.

"Its a girl." Julie says.

Everyone smiles and start bombarding us with questions. Christen, Sydney, and Kelley pull JJ in Press' room while Tobin and Ash pull me into mine.

"So what's going through your mind right now?" Tobin ask.

"Me and Julie staring a family together." I say.

"What else?" Ash ask.

"Me leaving around the time she's suppose to give birth."I say.

"What are you talking about?" Tobin ask.

I tell the girls about the trip that the council is planning.

"That sucks." Ash says.

"Yeah I just have to find a way to tell Julie." I say.

"Well you better do it soon because she won't take you leaving easy." Tobin says.

"I know." I say.

They stay in my room for a while longer until Julie knocks on the door. She comes in and they leave, she lays in the bed next to me.

"You've had a look on your face all day tell me what's wrong." She says.

"I have to go away." I say.

"What are you talking about?" She ask.

"The council is making me go with them on a trip around the time the baby is suppose to be born." I say.

"You can't leave Mal."

"I know I've been trying to get out of it but they won't let me."

Julie rolls her eyes and gets out of the bed.

"Babe where are you going?" I ask.

She doesn't respond she just gets in her own bed and faces the wall so her back is to me. I sigh and leave the room. I go for a run and come back when its 3 am. I walk into my room and I hear Julie crying. I get in the bed with her and wrap my arms around her.

"I'm sorry." She sobs into my chest.

"No I'm the one whose sorry, I wanna be here for you and the baby when she's born." I say.

I wipes the tears streaming down Julie's face and kiss her cheek. She smiles and we both head off to sleep.
