I'm looking out the window of my parents black Range Rover watching as city turns into forest. This is the eighth time we've had to move and I'm sick of it to say the least.

"Mallory please just try this can potentially be a very good thing."

I swear to god if my Mom says something else like that I'm going to flip. She's been trying to convince me that us moving so much is a good thing. I just roll my eyes and slightly growl at her earning me a glare from my father. I hate when people use my full name I'm also tired of Mom's speeches. I'm a werewolf sorry was that too blunt? Actually technically I'm hybrid. My Mom is a werewolf and my dad is a vampire ironic right. That's actually the reason we aren't with the rest of my family anymore. Vampires and Werewolves respect each other we're actually pretty good friends. However my Dad's pack betrayed my Mom's pack and they've been at war for as long as anybody can remember. Regardless my parents fell in love with each other. When their packs found out they were outraged. They tried to keep my parents apart but that didn't work which is where I come into the story. When their packs found out my Mom was pregnant they were both cast out. Being alone for the first time ever was hard for my parents but we managed. We were fine until my parents had the devil child my little brother Nakai. He's the reason we're always moving he gets in trouble and we have to move before people find out what he is. Its hard for Werewolves to control themselves especially at a young age. This behavior goes on until we find our mate. Our mate is the only thing that can ground us for sure. Until we find our mate we all have pendents we wear. These pendents keeps the wolf tamed other supernatural species have something similar so they don't lose control. The downside is the pendants don't always work. Anyway we're moving to Seattle. Mom has friends there who she says are more than happy to welcome us into their pack. I'm kind of skeptical because not a lot of packs are welcoming to outsiders. Who knows maybe they will be different. I feel like I've been in this fucking car forever and I can't take much more of it. I hate cars I hate being confined in a small space. I didn't notice before but we've stopped in front of a house. This house is in the middle of the forest and it looks like nobody is around us for miles. I get out the car and look around I can sense all the people here. There's also this arousing smell that's really intoxicating. A fairly tall lady walks out of the house she has fair skin, dark brown hair, and these mesmerizing eyes.

"Hey Hope thanks for letting us come." Mom says.

"Anytime Diane come on everyone is inside waiting." Hope says.

We grab our things out of the trunk and walk into the house. It's huge and I can tell its super old which is pretty cool. Hope leads us into what I am assuming is the living room. There are a lot of people here and I can tell they're not all Werewolves. The smell that's distracting me is also getting stronger.

"You're right."

I look at the person who spoke. She has bleached blonde hair, fair skin, brown eyes, and tattoos running up and down her arm and leg. I give her a confused look and she smiles.

"That's Ashlyn she's a mind reader." Hope says.

That's another thing super naturals all have special gifts. Depending on how capable you are some can bare two gifts. We all sit down and Hope starts talking she's the Alpha of this pack. The members of this pack are Hope, Carli, Ashlyn, Ali, Julie, Christen, Tobin, Alex, Meghan, Morgan, Kelley, Sydney, Megan, and Crystal. Hope is the Alpha she's also a hybrid. Mom, Ashlyn, Tobin, and Kelley are all Betas. Sydney, Megan, Crystal, and Morgan are all Omegas. Nakai, Alex, Ali, Christen, and I are hybrids. Dad, Carli, Julie, and Meghan are vampires. In this pack there isn't rank. I mean yes Hope is the leader but the Betas and Omegas don't get their titles based on bloodline or loyalty. They get their titles based on how or what they were born. Now if you don't already know you can become an Alpha in three ways. You're bloodline, an Alpha has turned you themselves, or you challenge an Alpha for the pack they currently lead. Betas are born a werewolf or purebloods as some like to call themselves and Omegas are humans who were turned by a werewolf. Yes Omegas are weaker but that's because they were born human. Now Hybrid doesn't mean your a vampire and werewolf it depends. Like my brother and I are only hybrids because of my parents. For most Hybrids that's the case. But there are rare cases where someone is already a super natural and can be turned into a Hybrid. Hope is telling us the rules and showing us where we are sleeping. They're making me go to school which I'm so not looking forward to. I feel like school is a waste of time I mean its not like I'm going to need half the pointless crap they teach me. Some of the other members go to school too so it shouldn't be that bad. Once Hope is done talking I go to my room. I share a room with Julie, Kelley, and Ali. They're all going to school with me along with all the Omegas, Alex, and Nakai. Starting school in the middle of the year this should be interesting. That smell has been lingering since I got here. I found out its coming from Julie she's is in the bed across from me. I know she can smell it too by the way we're looking at each other. There's something about her and I think I might know what.bSo have you heard that Vampires don't sleep or age? Well its true to a certain extent. But I'm a Hybrid so its complicated I need sleep but not as much as normal werewolves. I don't have time for this I was in a car for at least a few days as we made the drive here. I'm tired and I have school in the morning. Goodnight.
