Hunter's POV

Bitch. That fucking bitch, who does she think she is talking to me like that? And what, just because her stupid mother couldn't come and get her? She should have felt honored to receive such an offer from me.

Maybe it's more than that... There could be a reason...

No. Whatever reason it was, she didn't have to be a cunt about it.

You don't know that...

Not wanting to listen to my thoughts anymore, I pull up to my driveway and get out of my car. Before I go inside I lean against a wet tree and smoke a cigarette.

I can't help but wonder why she was yelling at her mother, why she looked like she was about to cry... But I guess I'll never know, she clearly hates me.

Sighing, I stomp on the cigarette and go inside my house.

The next day...

Sydney's POV

I wake up to the sound of thunder from outside. It's still raining, and probably will all day. I hear a cry and my six year old brother, Dean, comes running in my room and jumps on my bed.

I chuckle lightly as I start to rub his back. "Shh... Don't be afraid, dimples, it's just a storm," I coo in his ear.

"But it's scary," he whimpers as he sees a bolt of lightning.

"But you're brave," I give him a smile, "and besides you should be asleep right now, who knows what time it is-"

Beep, beep, beep!

I hear the lovely sound of my alarm clock and inwardly cry because I have to go to school.

I pat Dean's head and tell him to start getting ready, and then I jump into the bathroom to start my morning routine.

I put my hair in a side ponytail and apply very light makeup, no mascara since its raining though. I put on a grey tank top with a white vest on top. I pair that with black skinny jeans and my black converse. I look in the mirror one more time before I head downstairs.

My purple hair actually looked decent. My outfit looked okay and my face looked fine. I'm not saying that I'm ugly, but I don't think I'm gorgeous. My sister Alison, now she was gorgeous, she clearly got mom's looks. I seemed to look more like my dad's side of the family.

After I approved my appearance I ran downstairs to greet my younger siblings.

"I still can't get that stupid move!" I hear Maya complain as I see her trying to master some dance moves.

"Sorry, I don't care enough to listen," Rachel says while drinking milk from the carton.

"Gross! Stop it, that's disgusting!" Maya shrieks and I bite my lip to hold back my laughter.

I go over to Rachel. "Now Rachel, I am very disappointed in you-" I see Maya looking relieved. "-because you didn't even share with me!"
