Sydney's POV

I just couldn't bare the sight in front of me, it absolutely broke my heart. And the worst part was, I didn't even know why it affected me so much. I knew I liked him, but this was way past jealousy.

Maybe it just remind you of them...

No. Because Hunter didn't- we aren't even together, we're just friends...

Well we were friends...

I ran into that bathroom, thankful that no one was inside, and I went into one of the stalls. Not even a minute passed by before I heard the door open.

"Sid?" I heard Daisy's voice call out for me.

"Sydney's not here," I sniffled before blowing my nose.

"Sid please come out. I'm so sorry that Rosie did that, but I doubt she even knew. If she did I can assure you she wouldn't have done that," I could see her feet standing right outside my stall.

"You can't say that, she's liked him for years, she wouldn't have cared," I say wiping more tears away. I unlock the door and make my way to the sink. "Besides, it doesn't even matter, it's not like we were dating or anything.."

She pulled my hair back as I washed my face. What are friends for? "Listen honey, don't cry over that stupid jerk, the moment you rejected him he went after someone else. What's even worse was that it was with my sister. Just forget about him because he didn't deserve you anyway," she told me as she helped me clean up my face.

"Yeah, I guess so," I said, fixing my hair. "I don't know why, but it felt like...that time...all over again," I said frowning.

"No," she said lifting my chin up. "That will never happen again, no girl deserves that and it sucks that you received it. Tess and I promised to never let that happen again, remember? And that's a promise."

I just hugged her tightly before my waterworks would start up again.

We pulled apart as I heard my stomach rumble. I blushed. "Guess I'm still hungry."

We both just stared at each other in silence before bursting out into laughter. "Don't worry, I'll ask Tess to swing by and get us for lunch," she said in between laughs.

"Thank God," I said wiping my tears, not from sadness, but from happiness. I love my best friend.

Hunter's POV

I just needed to get my mind off of her, but it was so difficult. So I just grabbed the nearest girl I saw and started making out with her. I remember this girl having a crush on me for years, but I always pushed her away, but she's great use to me now.

When we entered the cafeteria I knew I'd see Sydney once she walked in. So I grabbed Violet, or whatever the hell this flowered named girl was, and started making out with her again.

I swear I could almost hear the gasped that escaped her lips when she walked inside the room. I turned just in time to see a tear slide down her cheek before she ran out of the cafeteria.

I don't understand. She rejected me, so why did she seem affected, I was the only suffering.

Maybe it broke her heart to see you with someone else...

No. Just because Cody said it doesn't make it true.

You know she probably just saw the food we were having today and was grossed out...
