Sydney's POV

I keep worrying that Hunter misunderstood the call. What if he's trying to find me? What if he's panicking? I hope he's okay...

I hear my ringtone blare its noise loud in the room. It's Daisy, I've missed her.

"Hello?" I answered the phone.

"S-Sid...?" I heard Tess' voice through the phone.

I was confused. "Tess? Why did you answer Daisy's phone?" Something was wrong.

"It doesn't matter... But Sid..."

"What's wrong?" I asked getting worried.

"Hunter's dead." She whispered. My heart stopped. I felt my stomach starting to turn in knots. This couldn't be true. I refused to believe her!

"Tess, if this is a joke it isn't funny," I said feeling the tears run down my cheeks.

"Why would I joke about this, Sydney?" She yells. No... No it can't be true!

My voice is shaking and the tears are falling freely down my cheeks. "H-How?" I dared to ask.

"He was in a car... Cody said he was talking to him and he was looking for you... He started speeding and-" I heard her cry more on her end of the call.

I shriek. It's my fault, it's all my fault. "Please, God no..."

But I... I love him...

"HUNTER!!!!!" I screamed out loud once the call ended.

"Sydney! Sydney wake up!" Michael was shaking me back and forth. "You're having a nightmare, wake up!"

I open my eyes and look at my brother through the glossy tears. It was just a nightmare...

"Michael..." I said grabbing his arm, "I thought he was dead... I-I thought that he died..."

"Who, sis?"

"Hunter," I choke out into a sob. I burst into tears once more. My brother rubbed my back as he rocked me back and forth. I was so glad that it was just a nightmare.

I wanted to see Hunter. After that night I needed to.

"Can we invite him over for dinner tonight?" I asked still shaking.

"Of course we can," Michael was the best big brother a girl could ever ask for.

After I got cleaned up I went downstairs to greet all of my siblings. I'm so glad we're all here together.

"I don't remember going to bed last night," I say aloud as I pour a bowl of cereal for myself.

"We were all watching 'The Cat in the Hat' last night and you fell asleep, so Mikey took you upstairs," Dean tells me.

I walk over to Michael and hug him. "Thank you again."

"Why didn't we see daddy yesterday?" Maya questioned. I was wondering the same thing.

"I called him this morning, he said he's coming tonight. I don't know where he is," Alison said.

"Well at least we know he's alive," Maya chuckles.

I smile as the words repeat in my head.

At least we know he's alive...

I take out my phone and text Hunter.

Hey, do you wanna come to my dad's place for dinner tonight?

A few seconds later he replies with:

Sure, what's the address?

I text him the address and a tear of joy falls down my cheek knowing he's safe.
He texts back:

Okay I'll be there at 7:30 tbh I'm just glad you're safe gorgeous

The feeling's mutual...

I'm glad you're safe too..

And with that text sent I lock my phone and leave it on my dresser.

Hunter's POV

I had a nightmare last night where Sydney actually wasn't safe. She was kidnapped and the kidnappers kept sending videos of them hurting her.

I started yelling in my sleep and Cody woke me up. "Dude, you need to chill!" He said after I woke up.

"I thought she..."

"She's fine," Cody told me reassuringly.

I just decide to ignore the dream. "How was it with Tessa?"

"I asked her out," he said with a smirk. "She said yes." We fist bumped and I was about to ask him more but my phone went off.

It was a text... From gorgeous! Thank God she's okay.

"What does she want?" Cody asked being his nosey self.

"She asked if I wanna go to dinner at her dad's. Oh shit man, I'm so glad she's okay," I say with relief and I text back with a smile on my face.

Cody chuckles. "Sounds like she wants you to meet the fam. Did you forget to tell me something?" He says wiggling his eyebrows. I punch him in the arm and go back to texting my gorgeous.

I'm so glad I get to see her...

And Wa la! Three chapters in one day, and I am proud! Oooh I ship Tess and Cody #Cess (close to 'kiss')
