Hunter's POV
It was now around half past five, and I was still getting no answer. Damn. She must be really mad at me, like REALLY mad. Shit.
I was about to give up when someone finally answered the call.
"Sydney? Oh my God thank God you answered-" I blurted into the phone.
"Sydney can't take your call right now," I heard a female voice say. I'm guessing it was one of the twins.
"Listen, I know she's probably mad at me but plea-"
"Wait what? Why would she be mad? She just got home and put her phone to charge. She's in the shower now," her sister said.
Okay, I guess that makes sense...
"Um, can you just tell her to call me back- actually never mind. Thank you er..uh..."
"Rachel," she cuts me off. "Hey wait, who should I say called?"
"It's fine, don't say anything. Thanks, bye" I quickly say before hanging up. Sorry kid, but I have to see your sister.
I decided to walk to her house so I could get my words sorted out, and figure out what I would say to her.
Sydney's POV
When Tess came and picked up me and Daisy, we stayed out for the rest of the day, not just lunch. We were goofing around and taking silly pictures, which eventually led to my phone dying.
When I walked in, Rachel and Maya informed me that our cousin was coming over to visit. I had to get ready, and fast. I quickly put my phone to charge and I hopped in the shower.
My cousin was the best. She was so cool. Her name is Mickey, yeah her mother really liked Disney...
Anyway, she was seventeen and she was like the perfect girl. Beautiful, flawless face, awesome personality, she was just perfect. And I was so excited for her to visit. When I got out the shower I started to get ready. A nice, comfortable pink sweater and a pair of leggings should do just fine. I looked in the mirror and frowned when I saw my hair, it was a mess and my roots were showing. I really need to dye my hair again soon.
Right when I was about to fix my hair, I heard a knock on the door. "Dean! Answer the door, it's Mickey!" I shouted as I tried to find my converse.
A few seconds later Dean shout back, "No it's not, Sydney can you come down?"
That's weird. Who could it be? Probably the neighbors or something.
When I went downstairs I saw the one person I didn't want to see.
"What do you want?" I bluntly say, crossing my arms over my chest.
"I wanna talk to you," Hunter said with an unexplainable emotion in his eyes.
"Yeah well, I don't wanna talk to you," I say as I try to close the door. His foot stopped it. Great.
"Listen, you can't be mad at me, you rejected me," he said as he grabbed my hand.
I pulled it away. "Who said I was mad because of you? I don't even care for you so why does it matter?" I say putting my head down.
"You don't mean that, gorgeous," he said with a hurt look in his eyes.
I couldn't do it anymore, I couldn't keep it in. I let out a quiet sob before trying to close the door again. He stopped it again. I kept trying to push it closed until I just gave up and sank to the floor.
I just bursted into tears and I couldn't stop it. Why was I crying? He was right, I rejected him so why was I so mad at him.
He quickly crouched down beside me. "Baby stop, don't cry, gorgeous please," he said rubbing my back soothingly.
Before I could stop him, I was lifted up and was being carried onto my front porch. He sat on a chair and placed me down on his lap."If you hurt my sister, I'll kill you," I heard Rachel say from the door.
"And if you're still single, I'm available," Maya said. Then Rachel closed the door.
Moving myself from off his lap, I kept my head down, causing my hair to cover my face. "I-um my cousin's coming over, I need to go-"
"Sydney, stop. We need to talk, now," he said sternly. "Tell me what's wrong."
"Nothing," I answered quietly. Lies.
"Bullshit, you have a problem with me, why?"
"I don't have a problem with you, if I did I wouldn't be talking to you right now, idiot," I replied.
"Now's not the time to be sassy," he said, moving some of the hair from my face.
I took a deep breath. I might as well get this off my chest, could anything bad really happen? "Seeing you with Rosie, it just...hurt me," I said, the tears starting to cloud my vision.
"But you rejected me-"
"And so you go after someone else in under two hours? And my friend too?" I snapped at him.
"I was trying to distract myself from you.." He began.
I snorted, attractive I know. "Yeah right, you were just gonna use me, you better not use her, asshole," I said getting worked up.
"I did... But I talked to her and she understands-"
"You hurt my friend?!" I shouted at him getting up.
"Gorgeous you don't understand," he said getting up quickly with me.
"I don't underst-" I was cut off by his lips crashing onto mine. I missed this feeling. The feeling of his soft lips on mine. The feeling of feeling safe with him.
Stop! Why are you kissing him back? You can't do this!
But it feels so right...
I don't care! Stop it!
He broke the kiss and leaned down to my ear. He whispered, "I love you."
Hunter's POV
I've been wanting to do that all day. I can't believe I told her. Oh my gosh, I've missed those lips. I wanted to kiss them again but I knew that was wrong. I was just so hungry for them.
She just stood there completely shocked, unable to say anything. I heard a car pulling up in the driveway, I'm guessing that was her cousin.
"I think your cousin's here... I'm gonna go now," I said before kissing her forehead and leaving.
Oooh! What do you think Sydney will do now that she knows he loves her?
Until the next chapter...
