Hunter's POV

I'm so excited to see her. It hasn't even been two days yet it feels like I haven't seen her in years. I know, cliché cliché, but that's how I feel.

I got out the shower a while ago and I keep trying to fix my hair. I need to really impress her family. Especially if she has an older brother and her father there.

"Dude, you need to calm down. I just bought this gel and you're gonna use it all at this rate," Cody tells me.

"I'm just freaking out," I tell him honestly. "I don't want them to disapprove of me."

Cody smirks. "Disapprove? So what are you guys dating or something?"

I practically choke on nothing but air, "What!? N-No! I mean, not exactly- not yet!"

"Not yet?" Cody smirks. "I'm gonna be the best man at your wedding!" He says in a sing-song voice. I roll my eyes and finish up in the bathroom.

It's about 6:45 now and I need to be there by 7:30, so I think now is a good time to leave. Okay you're probably thinking 'Why the heck is he going so early?' it's because I have to bring gifts for everyone of course.

I'm just really trying to make sure everyone likes me...

Sydney's POV

I can't help but feel a bit happy that I'm going to see Hunter in less than an hour.

He said he loves me...

And I know I shouldn't be too quick to believe everything he says, but by the way he was staring into my eyes and the way he said it, I could tell he was speaking the truth. I think I trust him, like really trust him.

This boy is changing me. Before we met I was just a girl who didn't really care about much because I didn't feel really happy, but now....

He makes me happy...

"Wow, Joey, you look smokin' hot! Trying to impress your boyfriend, huh?" Mickey said walking into my room.

I feel a light blush tinting my cheeks, but it's not from embarrassment, it's from happiness. I turn to look at her and ask, "Do you think he'll be happy to see me?"

Alison barges in with Maya and Rachel following her. "Of course he'll be happy! I don't even know him, but from what I heard I think he really really likes you, sis," Alison states.

"Wow, Sydney, you look really pretty!" Maya says. I got to admit, it felt good to see my little sister finally thinking good of me. She usually shows more affection to Alison.

Rachel speaks now, and her words make tears form in my eyes. "She always looks pretty, our big sister is beautiful and she always has been," Rachel says giving me a hug. I don't know why I got so emotional from all this, it's probably because I'm with all my sisters and my amazing cousin, and I finally feel happy. It's like I actually believed it, I actually thought I was pretty. It's all because of him...

"Now finish getting ready for the boy you love," Alison winks at me. I smile to myself, she couldn't be more right.

"What's this I hear about my daughter loving a boy?" A voice- a male voice says from the door. I turn around and I feel the tears finally fall from my eyes.

"Dad," I whisper.

"Daddy!!!" Maya and Rachel shout with joy before running to him and hugging him. Alison soon joins after.

I collapse to the floor and let out soft sobs. My dad walks over to me and crouches down next to me. He lifts my chin so he can see my face. I feel his finger wipe away a tear.

"You think you'd be happy to see your father considering you kept asking about him," Mickey says making me laugh softly.

"I am happy, I'm just scared..." I say truthfully.

"Scared for what, honey?" My father says with confusion in his eyes.

"I'm scared I'm going to wake up, and you'll be gone. I don't want to leave you again, I don't want to be taken away!" I cry out as I pull him into a tight hug.

He pulls back and kisses my head. "Sydney, I'm not leaving and neither are you," he says smiling at me. I put my head down and try to stop crying. "Sweetie, let me see your face, I haven't seen you for two years, I want to see your beautiful face."

I chuckle, "It probably doesn't look so 'beautiful' now."

"Nonsense. Ooh, I see you dyed your hair," He points out.

"Yeah, I wanted to dye it purple."

"My favorite color," my dad whispers.

I nod with a sad smile. "That's why I dyed it like this... Mom hated the color, but I needed something that I could look at whenever I wanted to that way I could be reminded of you..."

He pulls me into another hug and this time I'm joined by my sisters and my cousin. "Come on, let's go get ready to have dinner with this 'lover boy'," my dad teases. We all laugh and head downstairs.

"I'm so glad daddy's here!" Dean says happily.

"Me too," Michael says in agreement.

Alison asked, "Dad, wasn't there someone you wanted us to meet?"

My dad nods. "I decided I didn't want you to meet them today, tonight is about spending time with my family," my dad says as he picks up Dean.

I suddenly feel a bit guilty. "Then I should tell Hunter not to come, this is a family dinner," I state.

"No, don't be silly. You clearly want to see him and if you both really care about each other he could be part of the family one day," my dad winks at me. Everyone starts laughing and I start blushing.

You wouldn't think my dad would be so cool with me bringing a boy over. I think it's because he just misses me and the only person he feels he needs to protect me from is my mother. I love my dad.

I then hear the doorbell. I open the door and my breath hitched in my throat.

"Hey gorgeous."

"Hunter," I smile.

Finally got the strength to update! I've bee procrastinating and putting it off but I finally did it! I have so much planned in the upcoming chapters, so stay tuned for those updates!
