Chapter Twelve (Part 2)

Hunter's POV

When we arrived at the house Cody practically jumped out the car and ran straight to the door. I'm surprised he didn't break the door down, but he did knock, hard might I add.

A few seconds later a girl answered. Weird, this isn't Tessa, but they did look alike. The girl looked to be around thirteen and you could tell she would be very good looking as she got older. [girl on the right in the image above]

The girl looked at us both with wide eyes. "C-can I help you?" She stuttered. Aw she's shy.

"Is Tessa here?" Cody practically yells in the poor girls face.

She shakes her head, "No, but she should be coming home shortly. May I ask who are you?"

"We're her friends," I reply cooly.

"Would you like to come in?" She asks.

"Catherine, you shouldn't ask people you don't know into the house," a voice from behind us says. Startled, Cody and I both turn around and Tessa's standing there.

She's starring at Cody and he's starring back at her. It looks like all they want to do is run to each other and kiss.

Like what I wanna do when I find her...

I smile at my thought. Yeah, I'm not denying that.

Their starring goes on for quite some time and it's starting to creep me out. "Okay so can you guys like kiss or something so we can move on?" They both blush at my question and look away. I practically face palm myself. "So your name's Catherine?" I ask the girl at the door.

"Yes, but just call me Cathy," she says shyly.

"Cathy? You don't let anyone call you that, not even me, your big sister," Tessa says jumping into our convo. She eyes her sister suspiciously, then she gasps. "You like Hunter, don't you?"

Her sister's face goes bright red. "N-no!" She stutters before running into the house.

I chuckle at what just happened. But then I remember the reason I'm here.
"Do you know where Sydney is Tess?"

"Yeah, why?" She replies raising an eyebrow.

"Where is she?? She called me and screamed and the call ended, what if she's in trouble??" I quickly tell her.

A few seconds later Tess just bursts out laughing. She starts laughing so hard that tears are forming in her eyes. "Oh my- you think she-" she bursted into more fits of laughter.

I was starting to get annoyed. "What?!"

"She's with her family visiting her dad, and you thought she- BWHAHAHA!" She began laughing again.

What? She was with her family? Oh yeah! She talked with her dad and told me! I forgot it was this weekend.

I sigh in relief, "Thank God she's okay."

"Yeah," Tess said as her laughter died down. "Do you guys wanna come in?"
She was mainly looking at Cody when she asked. I smirked at the two of them.

"Nah I gotta get going, but you go ahead man," I say patting Cody on his back. "I'll meet you back at the house later.

I saw Tess biting her lip. DAMN MY BOY'S ABOUT TO GET SOME!!!! Yeah sorry, but this is just the way we react to times like this.

When I got back in my car, I contemplated about whether or not I should still go see Sydney. In the end I decided I wouldn't because she should spend time with her family. I drove home thankful that she was okay.

When I entered my house, I smelt chicken noodle soup. My favorite, and not just because it was my childhood favorite, but because I shared it with Sydney.

"Smells good ma," I say as I walk in the kitchen and kiss her cheek.

"You always say that," my mom chuckles.

"That's because it's the truth."

"Where is Cody? Did his family come back already, I love having him around," my mom asks.

"He's just... On a date," I smirk to myself.

"Ooh! Is he now? Speaking of dates, when are you bringing that pretty girl back here?"

I smile as I imagine her face, she really is gorgeous. "Hopefully soon.." I reply. I take my bowl of soup and head upstairs. "Thanks for the soup ma, goodnight, I love you."

"Love you too Hunter," she replies.

Goodnight gorgeous, I can't wait to see you...

I can't wait to see where Cody and Tess' love story goes... And FYI yes, her name is Tessa but her nickname is Tess for anyone who was confused.
