(Mikey's P.O.V.)

Three weeks since that night and he hasn't really been himself. He's been very melancholy. I remember when we were around 11 and his sister left Ally with him and his Mom. A month in and he was trying to pull out his own hair. I remember going to his house after he missed two days of school. He was freaking out and Ally was crying up a storm. He was crying and tugging at all that pretty brown hair. 'Calm down, I'm right here, I'm not in your head, I'm not all that stress, I'm right here' I had to tell him.

Now, he doesn't even come to lunch because he's always busy, college applications with the guidance counselor, practicing basketball with his coach, doing as much extra credit as he could to get the highest A's he could. Afterschool he would rush to get Ally, too afraid to leave her waiting for even a second.

"He'll get better once they year comes to a close," Nick says.

"Yeah, the last month or so," Eli shrugs.

It's a week before Christmas break, snow is all over the ground outside, its freezing cold too.

"Then he'll be off to college," I answer.

"So will you," Nick grumbles.

Nick and Eli had been seeming tense themselves. But they hid it well ftom everyone else, but I'm their bestfriend.

"And what have you two decided?" I ask, burping quickly afterwards.

"We can't find a college that suits both of us," Nick answers sharply, cutting his eyes at Eli.

"That's why we need to go to different ones, don't be so clingy," Eli snorts.

Nicks nostrils flare as the words come from Eli's mouth. I watch as Eli squirms under his gaze.

"Well, maybe it's for the best, better sex when you finally do see eachother," I shrug.

I look around the cafeteria, not even bothering to listen to their stuttered answers. As I do, I see Linda. She's talking to Andy and I don't even flinch, he's been talking to her a lot lately and I don't really care. He says it's about college, and at this point I guess I believe him.

"Let's go, class is about as to start," Nick says.

He stands and stretches, his shirt lifts and shows the trail of hair leading down into his pants. I try not to throw up as Eli licks his lips hungrily.

"Yeah, lets leave," I sigh.

When we get out of school, Andy gives me a little kiss on the cheek and grumbles something like a see you later to our friends as he goes off to get Ally. He doesn't even give me a second glance.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel neglected. But I'm telling the truth when I say I'm getting used to it, I'm kind of waiting for him to just get bored of me and go back to girls. To tell me he doesn't want some tall boy with all long limbs, who plays football, and no boobs. Sometimes I feel like I might need to wear some panties and stuff a bra to get his attention again. Not that much of a bad idea actually.

"You O.K.?" Eli asks as we walk to the train.

"Yeah," I nod.

When we do fuck, he does it quick and rough, not bothering to kiss me or talk dirty, or make sounds, or even look at me. I'm noticing he likes me to be on all fours instead of on my back where I can see him. Don't get me wrong I still like it on all fours, but its like he's on autopilot or he does it so I don't complain.
