(Andy's P.O.V.)

I go huffing and puffing into school the next day, ready to rip through anybody and everybody that got in my way. Between these fucking teachers, this fucking Mom, this fucking practice, these fucking colleges, and Mikey, I was on edge, not even, I was already tipping.

"Hey, Andy," some random person says.

"Hi," I grumble aggressively back as I storm down the hall to get to 1st period.

"Andy, slow down, you're going to-"

"Not today, Hollister!" I exclaim at the teacher.

The students moved out my way as I zoomed right to the back of class. Good thing they did.

"Mr.-"

"That's not my problem," I cut Ms.Wicker off.

I wasn't taking anyone's shit today.

At lunch, Mikey sits near me, but he stays silent, so do the rest of them. I ate a sandwich without really tasting and listened to bland conversation.

Afterschool, everyone is forgotten. I rush home to get away. But it just can't be avoided.

"And you're sure there's no way to find her?" I hear Mom say as close the house door.

"Well, thank you for trying," she sniffles.

Before she turns around I'm already in my room, turning the lock on my door.

"Maileen Fairchild..." I trail off in the silence of my room.

I hated not just her first and middle name, but our last name too.

Maileen Fairchild was born on a freezing day in October, the 18th in 1991 to be exact. Five years older than me. I never really told anyone my last name or even her first name. I thought of her on a yearly basis. Only in the month of March did I think of my sister.

March 1st, 2007. On that day, she told my Mom that she was going to leave soon, screamed at her actually.

"I hate it here! I hate you!" she yelled.

"Maileen!" Mom gasped.

"Why can't you just leave me the fuck alone!" she screams.

Ally wails in my sisters arms, a one year old I barely knew at the time.

"You have a child in your hands right now, watch your mouth! And I will not allow you to go out with that boy tonight!" Mom roars.

It had been like this ever since Maileen started dating that guy, Brandon. He was kind of a jackass, but took care of her, he just didn't like us, me and Mom. We were apparently different, not good enough for Maileen. I just think we couldn't handle her.

March 15th, 2007

Mom was planning for my birthday party. I told her I didn't want one. I wanted it to just be Maileen, her, and I. Just us three to celebrate the day I turned 11. I thought of inviting Mikey, but somehow I was old enough to know we needed some family time.

That night, Maileen came home drunk at 2:00am. Mom yelled at her and pushed her down onto the couch. Maileen laughed, Mom walked away to her room.

"C'mere, Andy," she slurred.

I walked over to her tentatively, but when I reached her, I saw how glassy her eyes were.
