Chapter 13

A/N: This chapter is basically the last one, but from Leo's perspective.

Leo's POV

I trailed after her, keeping far enough away so that she couldn't see me. Not like she'd see me anyways... I thought dejectedly. Y/N was walking towards a familiar spot by the lake. The spot where she fell asleep on me. A smile came to my face at that thought. When I looked at her again, she was crying. I was about to walk up to her when di Angelo appeared. He wiped the tears off her cheeks. Back off Nico! I was maybe a little tiny bit jealous. They sat down and started talking, it was infuriating. What does he have that I don't!? I thought angrily. Let's see he's mysterious, dark hair, dark brown eyes, not as obnoxious as me... The list went on and on, and I soon found myself completely shy and discouraged. After what seemed like years they got up. "Race you to the stables!" She yelled, taking off. Nico just shadow traveled. I ran after her, but stayed near the shadows so she wouldn't see me. Once I got there I hid in a bush. "Nico *Huff* you cheated!" She whined. "Hey guys!" Someone said, I couldn't see them from this angle. "Sup?" Y/N responded. I moved to get a better view and I saw it was Will. He put his hand around her shoulders and she didn't push his hands off. I was upset and angry. "Is that bush on fire?" Nico asked staring right at me. "Yep." She said, I couldn't see if she looked. I swiped at my tears angrily. "Ready to go Will?" Y/N asked, completely unaware of the emotionally distressed bad boy in the bushes behind her. Before they left she whispered something in Nico's ear. "Come on Will let's go!" She said tugging him along like nothing happened. Nico left, allowing my to move so I could see inside the stables. Y/N was grinning and petting a pegasus happily. Festus is cooler! I thought stubbornly. "Will you've gotta teach me how to ride!" She shouted, obviously excited. I could help but laugh as she tried and failed miserably. Eventually she got the hang of it and soared with ease over the camp. Will was flying beside Y/N and watching over her. That should be me. I was bitter and angry, but I felt happy for her. Who wouldn't want to date a strong blonde Apollo kid? They landed awhile later and I followed them to the Apollo Cabin. Nico and Lou Ellen were waiting for them and they all went inside. I gave up watching them and trudged to Bunker 9. I started playing with a small golden chain and decided to make Y/N a necklace. I stepped out of Bunker 9 and went searching for a cave. I found one at least twenty minutes later. The water dripped lazily on the to floor forming shallow puddles. A small clump of f/c crystals were clumped in the back of the cave. "Perfect!" I smiled. With some difficulty I wrenched a small crystal out and began to walk back to Bunker 9. About half way back I heard it. Angry squawks filled the air. I placed the crystal in my tool belt and lit my hands on fire as an rouge Harpy made its way toward me. "Bring it bird brain!" I shouted and blasted fireballs at it. It shrieked and dove. I ducked down, but the talons still ripped through my shoulder. I screamed as the pain stunned me for a second. I whipped out my celestial bronze hammer and flung it at the Harpy. I got lucky and it made contact, exploding it into dust. I picked up my hammer and stumbled back into Bunker 9. I took out my makeshift necklace, heating at chiseling away at the crystal until it fit perfectly in its place. I smiled, Y/N is gonna love this! I have to write a letter and then I can ask Jason to give it to her! I was feeling pretty proud of myself and spend the whole night writing and throwing away different letters.

(The next morning)

I stumbled toward Jason's Cabin with my finially decided on letter and necklace. I wasn't really thinking straight and wasn't sure if the letter was ok or not. I knocked loudly on the door several times. "PIKACHU!" I shouted trying to get him to open the door. Jason finally opened it and I almost fell on my face. "Jason!" I exclaimed. "Whoa! Leo! You look terrible! Where were you yesterday? Is that a gash on your shoulder?" He asked looking worried. "Yeah, I'm fine though! Can you give this to Y/N? Thanks!" I said quickly, shoving the letter and necklace into his hands and starting to wander off. Jason grabbed me by the back if the shirt. "Leo you're obviously not ok." Jason said firmly. "Yeah that's cause I'm better than ok! I'm awesome!" I grinned. "Come on." Jason started dragging me towards my cabin. "You need sleep." He added. "No way I've been awake way longer than this before! Sleep is for the weak, Sparky!" I struggled to escape his grip, debating setting myself on fire. I was about to when I saw Y/N walking by. Jason grinned when he realized how I got distracted. "Hey Y/N! Could you help me with something?" Jason called over to her. "Yeah no problem!" She shouted and ran over to us. "H-hey Y/N!" I stuttered. "What's up with him?" Y/N asked Jason, pointing at me. "Must not have slept all night. Plus a gash on his shoulder. I was gonna take him to the infirmary." He informed her. "I'm fine!" I protested, sitting down and refusing to move. Y/N starting stroking my hair, knowing how it would affect me. "But Y/N! I don't wanna go!" My protests were fading out. "Come on, Leo." She kneeled down so her face was only a couple inches away from mine. She seemed to ignore the fact that my hair burst into flames and that Jason was barely holding in laughter. She leaned in and I tensed up. She only pecked me on the nose, but it was enough to completely blank out my tired mind. I followed after Y/N and Jason placidly, grinning like an idiot the whole way to the infirmary. Y/N's h/l, h/c hair seemed to shimmer in the sunlight and I'm pretty sure half the Camp could see me wandering after her in a trance. "We're here!" She announced triumphantly. "What is it this time?" Will Solace walked out of the infirmary. I wrapped my arms protectively around Y/N and winced at the pain in my shoulder. "Jason found Leo who apparently got no sleep last night and has a giant gash in his shoulder!" She looked at me accusingly. "It's not my fault! I was making something for you!" I pouted looking at Jason. Y/N turned to stare at him too. "I'll give it to you later." He told her as Will led me into the infirmary. "How'd you get the gash, Leo?" Will asked me, looking concerned. "Rouge Harpy out in the area by Bunker 9. *YAWN* It's dead now." I explained getting more tired by the second. "Lay down here and I'll be back to treat your wound in a minute." He instructed, pointing to a cot next to us. I lied down and fell asleep instantly. I hope Y/N likes her necklace...
