Chapter 17

Your POV

I woke up and looked over to see a fully human Leo cuddled up next to me. I turned bright red and shifted away from him a bit. He mumbled something and rolled over. I did my best to get off the bunk and not wake him up. Once I reached to floor, he started to stir. I held my breath and waited a minute or so before deciding it was safe to move. "Walk of shame much?" My brother Cecil whispered with a grin. "Shut up! I didn't know that was going to happen." I whispered back furiously. "Sure..." He teased. "What time is it?" I asked. "Around 8." He answered casually. I grabbed some clothes and started to head to the showers. "Remember to meet us at the climbing wall later, Miss Jackson!" He laughed. I looked at him, confused. He frowned, "We really need to introduce you to more modern music. You've been missing out big time for four years!" "Uhh... whatever you say, Cecil." I said, leaving my Cabin and walking towards the showers.

Leo's POV

I woke up in an unfamiliar bunk. "Where am I?" I slurred, wiping the sleep out of my eyes. "You're in the Hermes Cabin." Someone said. "Hermes?" I mumbled, still confused. "Yeah, do you remember? You were a puppy and stuff. It was sorta my fault but you totally deserved it." I looked over to see Lou Ellen relaxing on the bunk across from me. "Why are you here?" I asked. "I'm waiting for Cecil, we're all heading over to the climbing wall later. And that includes you." She said looking pointedly at me. "Now I'm not one to back out of something as fun as a forty foot tall wall of death, but you guys totally need a cheering squad and I'm feeling pretty cheery today." I said with a grin. "Stop trying to chicken out, Leo. Y/N's going too." She said, sounding bored. "What time is it? Where's Y/N?" I asked. "It's about 9. And Y/N went to do some fighting practice with Cecil." Lou said. "Let's go watch!" I said and walked out of the cabin, not looking to see if she was following me or not. I heard her footsteps behind me though.

We arrived right when Y/N and Cecil were fighting. I watched the battle intently, Cecil's movements were choppy, but powerful. Y/N's movements were sort of clumsy, like she wasn't used to fighting someone so close to her size, but she was extremely fast. They landed blow after blow on each other until Cecil finially hit the ground in exhaustion. Y/N collapsed seconds after, breathing heavily. Lou Ellen and I walked up to them. "You guys ok?" Lou asked. "I'm fine... Cecil might not be though." Y/N managed to say with a grin. "Shut up!" Cecil whined. "Come on let's pick up our brave warriors." I said, laughing at the glare Y/N was giving me. I held out my hand, but she refused to take it and got up on her own. "Y/N!" I pouted. She went to walk away from me when her legs gave out and she fell onto me. "Falling for me now?" I grinned. "You're a cheesy idiot." She growled, managing to stand up on her own now. "But I your cheesy idiot!" I said laughing. She turned around and looked at me with a serious disappointment in her gaze. "Leo Valdez you are officially the most cliche person to walk this planet." She announced walking away from me. "Wait up!" I pouted, running after her.

Your POV

"Wait up!" Leo shouted as I walked away. I stopped and waited for him then we began wandering. Leo stated fidgeting with some gears and springs that came out of his signature tool belt. "Hey do you have anywhere in particular you need to go?" He asked. "Nah I'm just killing time till we have to go to the climbing wall. You have anything in mind?" I responded. "Yeah actually. Could you just stay here for like ten more minutes? I'll be right back!" He promised. "Sure that's cool." I said trying to keep the disappointment out of my voice. Leo grinned and ran off, leaving me alone. I decided to go over to my spot by the lake where I sat down and eventually fell asleep.
