When life gives you lemons be grateful they're not killer robots.

Hi, here is the chapter you have all waited too long for, so if you don't remember what is going on this picks up right after the part; A Cat has Nine Lives, and I only have One:(, where she goes on the "road trip" with the Avengers.

I have to say I wasn't expecting them to start interrogating me in the van. I was kind of hoping they'd wait until we reached wherever we were going. It was going to be harder to escape with all of them watching me at the same time. I still was going to escape, hopefully before the subject of my powers came up. I didn't come all of this way to be a lab rat. Unfortunately they had my lightsaber.

Before I came back into the van Black Widow had checked me for weapons. "You don't need to check me for weapons, if I had one I already would have used it," I had said letting the force flow through my words.

"Sorry kid but it's mandatory," She had replied. So yeah it didn't work, they just don't make agents like they used to.  Ok I'm kidding I've never tried to control a SHEILD agent before. Then she found my lightsaber and tossed it to Captain America, who was standing behind her.

"What is this?" Captain America asked turning it over in his hands.

"I don't know," Tony Stark replied, taking it from him to examine it. I had sensed the Captain was relieved he wasn't alone.

"Oh that is... my water bottle that I made. It's supposed to keep your water warm or cold like a thermos. It's broken though, so don't turn it on I keep meaning to fix it but you know," I babbled, trying not to let them know how scared I was of them finding out the truth.  Luckily he had stopped examining it.  They then escorted me into the van and set it up like an interrogation room. They handcuffed me to one of the doors.  Tony Stark still had my lightsaber, which brings me to the present. I wasn't going to escape now I was going to make it look like they won.  Also I'm curious to see what they want from me.  They say curiosity killed the cat... good thing I'm not a cat.

"What is your name?" Dr. Banner asked. There was no point in lying, Mr. Stark already knows.

"Amber Go, " I replied trying to look as innocent as possible, I think the height helps with that. He wrote it down.

"Where are you from?" Dr. Banner asked. Oh I'm going to have fun with this one.

"Well, I'm only going to say this once because I don't like answering this question over and over again, agreed?" I prompted.

"Agreed," They said.

"Ok I was born..." I leaned forward.  "On a planet in the Milky Way!" I finished.  I smiled sweetly.  If Tony had laser vision I would be dead from his glare.

Dr. Banner sighed, and then asked, "A few days ago the Avengers were attacked by robots, you were later seen riding one of those robots away from the scene of a mugging, why is that?"

"I was stopping the mugging, and the robot attacked me, I was not riding it I was fighting it," I explained truthfully.

"What do you know about these robots?"

I looked out the window, the questions were getting more personal, and I need to escape before they ask about my powers. I moved my free hand up so the palm was facing Tony Stark's chest. Then I used the force to push him back and summoned my lightsaber. Then I forced open my handcuffs. While they were focused on Tony Stark I turned on my lightsaber and cut a hole through the car door, I hope they have insurance.

"Stop," It was Black Widow she had a gun pointed at my head.

"Sorry to drop out, but I will see you around!" I said, and jumped through the hole as I blocked the shot with my lightsaber.  I hit the ground safely and running thanks to the force.  Bam! I got a good thousand feet from the car when a killer robot landed right in front of me.  My first thought was Iron Man, then oh shoot! It's a bigger walking version of what attacked me before.  My luck is golden!

The robot looked at me and I could tell it was about to attack; I tensed waiting for it to.  First, it fired a shot at me which I dodged, then a second and a third, and so on. I closed my eyes and gripped my lightsaber tighter, and let the force guide me.  Up! Left! Right! Down! Up, left, right, down... it's a pattern. I reached out with the force, just what I thought, the robot isn't a suit, and it isn't being directly controlled either.  So I just need a distraction...

Whoosh! . . . Bang! Captain America's shield passed over my head and slammed into the robot.

It turned around and started to attack the Avengers who had followed me. As they were fighting it off I ran behind it and climbed up its back.  Once I got to its head I took a deep breath and shoved my light saber straight through its head.  I let go and jumped off while using the force to push my lightsaber all the way through, cutting through all the main wiring. It instantly crashed to the ground and burst into flames.  I would guess the main wiring was protected with a fail-safe so if the robot were defeated it would self-destruct.

Something is approaching. I looked up to see the famous helicarrier in the sky.  Oh no, there was no escape; I was feeling weak from the smoke coming into my lungs from the burning robot.  Unfortunately I hadn't gotten far away enough to be out of range from the cloud of smoke.  I was so tired from all the running and fighting I just wanted to collapse.  No! I was a Jedi and a strong independent person, not a damsel in distress.  I will not faint or collapse in front of earth's "mightiest" Heroes and SHIELD.  I stepped away from the fire and breathed in deeply, the force was with me, I could do this.  I had a plan, plan S-Sarcasm.

"Hello, I didn't see helicarriers on the weather report today, or else I would have stayed in side, so how can I help you?"  I asked politely.  At first I thought I inhaled too much smoke, when I saw the man who had just come down from a shuttle dispatched from carrier was a pirate.  Then I realized that I was not seeing a pirate but the super spy, Director of SHIELD Nick Fury.  Yeah I wish it was a pirate, because now I am toast.

"Yes, you can help me by telling me what is going on here... the truth, and don't even think about escaping because we will find you."

"I guess I don't have much of a choice, you're not going to believe me but," I took a deep breath, "I have no idea what so ever what is going on."

"Then you're going to help us find out."

One hour later, on the Helicarrier. 

By helping them find out he meant join the avengers. I  surprised myself when I agreed, but then again by joining the avengers I had a better chance of achieving peace, and they promised I wouldn't become a lab rat.  I also got to go back to school, which was a plus.  If my parents find out I almost got kicked out of school... well I'll just say that it is a good thing they don't have the force or else I'd have a few Sith lords to deal with.  Speaking of angry people...

"Are you sure about this Fury? She's just a kid?" Tony Stark asked in a hush tone. (I have good hearing, not super hearing though. Also they were standing outside of the room in the helicarriers hallway while I was sitting by the door. )

"So is the Spider, and all of his team," Director Fury replied.

"So shouldn't she be on that team?"

"That team hasn't been ambushed by the robots, also with Scarlet Witch, Vision, and War Machine away on their mission it wouldn't hurt to have a new member, and Tony... she might surprise you."

Should I be honored? I think that was a compliment.  I'll take it as one.

Stark and Fury walked back in the room.

"Welcome to the Avengers and SHIELD, hope you survive the experience," Director Fury said, and I smiled nervously. Survive the experience?! 

She's finally an avenger! 

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. But in other news we have over 200 reads! Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! Also since May 4th is coming up (Star Wars day) I might try to post a special, like a one shot or something. Also does anyone have any good code names for Amber? So far the only good one I can think of is The Light Knight, please comment any suggestions. Thank you!
