The Itsy Bitsy Drone

Recap: 

"Hey where's your cousin?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, about that..." I trailed off wondering how to tell them. "Um turns out she's the Sith Lord we've been looking for."

Tony curses and flys off, "Guys break in at Avenger's tower, we need to get there now." 

I activate my skates, "Never a dull moment," I sigh and we take off after him. 

"Do you think the kidnapping was a diversion to get us out of the tower?" Steve asks.

"Probably, its a smart plan, we were so focused on Amber falling into a trap..." 

"That we left the tower wide open." Bruce says finishing Nat's train of thought.

"Cute guys, finishing each other's sentences. But can you hurry up? I'm arriving at the tower now." I can practically hear Tony rolling his eyes over the Coms. 

"This is why I think we should stick to the facility, it's more secure," Wanda grumbles from the back of the motorcycle she was sharing with Nat. 

Meanwhile Sam mumbles something about ants, Wasn't he in charge of guarding the facility a few weeks ago?

"I'll talk to Fury and Happy about moving everything there once we get past this," Tony agrees, "Are you guys almost here?" 

"Coming up now," I respond kicking my heels against the pavement and shooting up the side of the building heading to the helicopter pad.  I smile despite the circumstances the feeling of the wind blowing back my hair never gets old. 

"Good I'll tell Jarvis to unlock the door." 

* * * 

"So nothing's missing?" Wanda asks confused, scanning the room once more of any irregularities. 

"Yeah, all my suits and weapons are here." 

"That's good. I'm going to get some tea, tell me if we find anything," Bruce requests heading out into the hallway. He pulls the door open and turns back, "Anyone wants anything?" 

"Could you get me a coffee? Dark please" Wanda asks. 

He nods and heads out, the door swooshing closed behind him. 

"Jarvis play security footage of when we were out, let's see what tripped the alarms"

"Right away sir." 

A screen pops up showing a drone fly into the room from the hall door. It's smaller than the other one, small enough to fit in the palm of my hand with thin legs that look razor sharp. It made a low buzzing sound similar to that of a fly as it soared around the room in the video. 

"Sir it seems like the drone snuck in through the front entrance and made its way up here undetected."

 The drone in the video makes a few clicking sounds, taking pictures of the room before landing on the main computers keyboard, we forgot to check the computers.  

"Um guys," I say glancing down at the keyboard, one of it's needle like legs was embedded at an angle under the 'D' key. 

"They left behind evidence," Thor reaches for it. 

Nat's eyes widen and the force pulses, "Thor don't!" She yells. 

But it's too late, he pulls it out from under the key and there is a click...then a boom and the last thing we know force of the explosion throwing us back as our lungs fill with smoke.  

So I'm back, and I know it's been forever and this is really short but I figured it's better than waiting even longer to post something.  The good news is I already started the next chapter, but on the other hand I have no idea when I'll finish it.
