"I was thinking about running into town for a haircut."

"Jake will be heartbroken if you go get all pretty without him." She giggles as she shoves a CD into the player of her truck.

"I get the feeling that he is probably enjoying his alone time with Callie right about now." I say with a knowing grin; I noticed that his mom and dad weren't home when we pulled in the driveway.

It's Sunday and Jake's mom and dad usually play golf with a few of their friends in the afternoon and then go for dinner and drinks so they won't be home until dark probably.

"They seem good now right?" Faith asks.

"Yeah they do; better than before even. More comfortable and relaxed I think."

"You know...I never thought I'd see the day that Jake Anderson drops to his knees in tears over a girl." Faith says lightly as she looks out the window.

"Crazy isn't it." I agree.

"Definitely."

"So..." I glance over at her with a grin on my face when I suddenly remember something.

"Guess you and dad are even now." I end up laughing.

"I guess but I don't think either one of them was nearly as embarrassed as I was. Your dad apologized and Elizabeth actually waved at me; like she wasn't sitting on the counter naked or anything you know. Like, oh, hello there Faith, can I make you a cup of tea." Faith says with a look of astonishment on her face.

"It's not really that big of a deal pretty girl; I mean we're all adults for the most part." I say with a shrug as I pull into a parking spot in front of the barber shop that I sometimes get my haircut at when Jake's aunt can't squeeze me in.

"Maybe you're right...maybe I'm just thinking too far into it all." Faith resolves as she follows me into the barber shop.

"Human nature pretty girl; we all have sex." I say quietly after I sign my name to the clip board so I can get in line for a much needed haircut.

"Pft...except us." She groans quietly as she sits beside me.

"Soon baby." I coo into her ear and she turns and gives me a wicked grin.

Between waiting in line and getting my haircut; we don't leave the barber shop for a little over an hour and on the drive home Faith is quiet and her eyes are heavy from feeling tired.

When I pull her truck back into the driveway; I notice that Elizabeth's little black car is gone.

I jog a little to catch up with Faith as she walks towards the side door and when I catch up with her; I wrap my arms around her waist from behind and nuzzle my nose into the messy knot on top of her hair.

"What are you doing?" She giggles as she stands on the porch with her hand on the doorknob.

"I think we should take a nap." I purr suggestively into her ear before running my tongue over her skin.

"After I put a load of clothes in the washer and after I get something to eat; I'm starving." She says as she pulls away from me and steps into the kitchen.

"Guess a nap's out of the question then." I mutter and she just grins at me as she makes her way into the laundry room.

"Hey dad, how was your weekend?" I ask him when I find him sitting in the living room watching TV.

"Good, how about you?" He says almost nervously.

"Apparently not as good as yours." I chuckle and end up laughing even harder when he rolls his eyes at me.
