HEADS UP TO MY READERS...THIS IS THE FINAL CHAPTER OF BOOK # 2...STAY TUNED FOR THE THIRD AND FINAL BOOK OF THE...HAVE A LITTLE FAITH TRILOGY...

"I've heard it from a few different people today and at first, I didn't really pay much attention to it but when I overheard a couple of the cheerleaders talking about it during study hall; I figured maybe it wasn't a rumor after all. Supposedly, Tad was taken to the hospital last night by ambulance and from what I heard, he might be in there for a few days. maybe even for a whole week because of his injuries."

"Shit." I groan.

If there is any truth to this at all, then there is a huge possibility that Jake is going to get in trouble for beating up Tad. I'm sure Tad's mother will want to know who beat her son so bad that he has to stay in the hospital. I'm sure she'll expect whoever is responsible for Tad's injuries, to foot the hospital bill.

"Like I said, it's probably just a rumor but I figured you'd want a heads up." Nate says apologetically.

"Yeah...thanks Nate. I have somewhere I have to be but I'll talk to you later okay." I say in a rush of words as I stand up and drag Faith out of the cafeteria with me.

"What are you doing?" Faith asks in confusion.

"Do me a favor pretty girl; take my books to either my locker or yours and then meet me out by the vending machine when you're done."

"What? Why? Where are you going?"

"I need to go find out for sure if Tad is in the hospital or not and then we'll go from there okay."

"How are you going to find out?" She asks but the way she is looking at me, tells me she already has a good idea of where I might get my information from.

"I'm going to go talk to the gossip queens of the school. I'll get all the information I need from the cheerleaders in about five minutes. Please wait by the vending machines for me okay, don't go outside without me."

"Why don't I just...you know what, never mind." She says with a light shrug and then disappears down the hallway.

I walk back into the cafeteria and make a b-line straight for the table that the cheerleaders sit at and I notice that all of them notice me and are watching me approach them.

"Ladies." I greet them with a dimpled smile and I hear a few of them giggle.

"Hi-ya, Landy." Amanda says in a sing-song voice as she bats her blue eyes at me.

"Hi Andy." I decide to butter her up by using her old nickname from when we dated.

Everyone always called the two of us Andy and Landy...

I remember thinking at the time, how sweet it sounded...it's not sweet anymore. In fact, calling her Andy gives me a bitter taste in my mouth.

My reaction to her old nick name is nothing like hers...hearing me call her Andy, after all this time, seems to bring an even bigger smile to her face.

I can remember a time that I'd do just about anything to see her smile like that...

"I was wondering if you lovely ladies would be willing to help me out with something?" I say to the table full of girls as I lean towards them.

I am rewarded by several enthusiastic head nods and a few 'sure Landon's' from the group of girls.

"What can I do for you Landy?" Amanda says in a suggestive tone...like she's suggesting that I could get her to do just about anything for me right about now...bitch...
