Adeline
I got off the train and was totally excited to see Emerald today, for some reason I felt like today would be a great day seeing her, but I was extremely wrong. I walked into the café and sure enough I saw Emerald, beautiful as ever, but she wasn't alone. She at the register talking with a guy who looked to be a little older than her, he was definitely handsome. He had tanned skin, pitch black hair that was slicked to the back very neatly, and eyes as blue as the sky itself. Matter of fact, it put any and every shade of blue to shame.
As he spoke to he had a big smile plastered on his face, exposing his perfect pearly white teeth and the dimples in his cheek which seemed to outline his angular jaw. This man was perfect. An excellent match for a perfect woman, and he definitely had her smiling ear to ear.
I stood at the door way watching her giggle for all the more of five minutes. Standing there watching her giggle and talk to that guy made me feel queasy at first, but then I started to feel like I was on fire. Something in the pit of my just seemed to roar in flames and I just couldn't seem to shake the feeling. I hated it.
I was going to continue into the café but then I heard him ask her if she was free later on, if he could pick her up after work. At this I stormed out of the café and slammed the door behind me, I'm sure it made a loud noise but I was too furious to notice, but frankly I didn't care. I was enraged at this entirely. How could she do this to me.
"Ugh! Emerald! Why?"
As angry as I was, I was more hurt. I've never been in this situation before and I didn't know what to do or how to deal with how I was feeling. I really wanted to punch stomach, I wanted to explode, I didn't know what I wanted to do. I was hurt. As a result of my want to take an aggressive approach on my emotions, I ended up taking a passive one. I went straight home and cried in my room.
As petty as it seemed, I decided not to go back to the coffee shop for a couple of days. I just couldn't see her, I didn't enjoy seeing her flirt with a man, or well with someone that wasn't me. I wish she would flirt with me like that.
I just laid still in bed thinking about her, her smile, her melodious voice, just everything about her. I really enjoyed being around her, and really there's only one thing I could think.
"I want her."
