Adeline couldn't remember a time in her life that's ever been so bright. She always spent her time with her nose in a book, or staring at nothing but air, or tuning herself out from the world. But ever since she's actually noticed Emerald, everything was different. The world seemed prettier, colors seemed brighter, and people seemed happier. Though this feeling didn't last for long.
As happy as Adeline was about knowing Emerald she seemed to have a hole inside of her. As a result, she began to associate with Emerald more and more. She started to go to the coffee shop everyday after school, even on weekends. She would talk up a storm with Emerald, and every word that they exchanged was like a moment in a timeless place. She could never get enough of Emerald. She just enjoyed everything about her. The way her grizzly bear brown hair caressed her shoulders, how her nose wrinkled up like a bunny when she smiled, the way light reflected off her lightly toasted caramel skin. Not to mention she had the lips of a princess, perfectly shaped and curved with a pale pink color. She was tall, in shape, and a great person to be around, and above all the best part was her eyes. Her eyes were the color of a silky smooth chocolate that seemed to bring you into a hypnotism, once you look into them, it was hard to break from her spell, it's not like Adeline ever wanted to anyway.
Emerald in general was just the most perfect being to exist to Adeline, at this point Emerald was Adeline's precious little jewel in the Pandora's box of the big city; and Adeline wanted to claim this jewel for herself. To be honest, this whole thing took Adeline by surprise, never did she think she would feel this way again, nor did she think it would be in this kind of way.
