"Holy crap..." Adeline absentmindedly said this to herself, though the silhouette heard her loud and clear.
"What? Is something wrong Adeline?" They said in a panic.
"No no no, I just..." Adeline couldn't finish her sentence, she was too stricken by the beautiful creature in front of her.
"I- I'm sorry, what did you say your name was?"
"Really Adeline? I've been serving you for the past two years now and you can't remember my name?" The Silhouette shakes their head in a humorous way, with their eyes glistening like a thousand stars, "It's okay, remember how stressful High School can be. It's Emerald, nice to meet you, again." At the end of her sentence, she gave a smile showing teeth whiter than pearls.
"Emerald..." The waitresses name rolled of her tongue in the smoothest of ways.
"So Adeline, should I get your usual?" Emerald once again asked once again.
"Yes sure, please." Adeline asked still stricken by the beauty of her usual waitress.
"One hot chocolate with whip cream, and a toasted banana chocolate chip muffin coming right up." She said with a calm tone, and strode off to place the order with such elegance.
After Emerald left the table, Adeline sat in silence, again lost her thoughts. For the life of her, she couldn't understand how she never noticed the beauty of such a magnificent creature.
"Emerald..." She said again to herself, this time her lip curled into a smile, her name was like music, just as well as her smooth leveled voice. It was then Adeline realized something, she didn't want a hot chocolate or a muffin.
She wanted Emerald.
