I don't think people get that being popular has no meaning. People who are popular won't be soon. When you go into high school, throughout the years, the popular cliques disappear and everyone is basically with close friends and just there. Then by the time college starts no one cares. There are no popular kids.
Sure there is still the bitches and girls who wear too small clothes. And the athletic macho guys. But, really there aren't anymore popular groups. Not as much as there were in middle school. Sh*t like being popular disappears as you grow older.
Not everyone is going to like you. You aren't always going to be popular. Like I said, all the crap like classifying people {popular, nerds, wannabes, etc.} just disappears at one point and you are faced with the real world.
People who used to be popular are going to realize this. They are going to start talking to ordinary people and not just others in their group. I know for a fact that when that starts to happen I won't be listening to them.
I'm not popular at all right now, but I know these things. And I really just want to tell all these popular kids at my school all this crap I said above, and then personally slap some sense into each of them. I just want to walk up to them all and say "Enjoy this while it lasts cause it's all going to disappear one day. Then you'll be forever to remove the mask of popularity you've worn your whole life and show everyone who you really are. Not that we can't see straight through those masks now anyways.
