Marissa Potter 2 - Scorpius' POV

I slid open the door of the compartment and sat down next to Davey Crabbe, Jaques Zabini and Lesley Goyle.

They knew something was wrong, but they didn't ask. I was glad, because I was far too worried about Issa to answer questions. What if Dad beat her? What if the Potter boy hurt her?

I cared so much about my sister. I protected her from harm even now, when she could look after herself. But now I wouldn't be there to protect her in her lessons. Of course, there'd be times in the Slytherin dungeons when I'd talk to her. She'd be fine... Wouldn't she?

I sighed and declined Jaques' offer of an All-Flavour Bean. He handed Davey and Lesley Chocolate Frogs and they sat down, chewing and comparing cards.

"Got Merlin again," Lesley groaned, "You want it?"

I shook my head silently and sighed again.

"Look," Jaques said. "What's wrong?"

I glanced at the expectant faces. "Issa is hanging round with Remus Potter," I whispered.

Lesley frowned. "And that's bad because..."

Actually, I couldn't see why it WAS bad. After all, Issa was entitled to any friend she wanted - and who was he to spoil her friendships?

"Your sister's well fit," Les said dreamily. "I wish she'd go out with me."

"She'd never go out with a dooshball like you," I said.
