Marissa Potter 6 - Marissa's POV

As I walked in through the huge wooden doors, an old Professor came up and welcomed us.

"Hello, I am Professor McGonagall," she said, smiling. "Wait a few minutes."

As she went through the doors again, Remus smiled.

"Nervous?" he said.

"Very," I replied.

"You'll be fine," Bella laughed. "Malfoys can cope."

"Right," I said.

"Anyway, remember the Sorting Hat takes your choice into account," Remus added.

"Who else of your family is at Hogwarts?" I asked.

"James, my fifth year brother and Albus, who you know is in third year. Lily's in second year. Me and Bella as well," Remus laughed.

"Oh!" I blushed. "It's just Scorpius and I for the Malfoys. Pansy's not that adjusted to pain. The sum being brothers + sisters + more births = pain she decided to not have any more kids apart from my just born brother Karyl."

Just then, McGonagall came back through the door. She took us through to the Great Hall and lead us up to a battered, ripped old Sorting Hat sitting on a stool.

"It should be thinking about retirement," I whispered to Remus and Bella. They laughed softly in agreement.

"When I call your name, you will sit on the stool and try on the hat. It will call out your house," McGonagall called out the first name. "Abott, Frances!"

Frances and his twin sister Alicia became Hufflepuffs and McGonagall whisked through a load of people before coming to 'Malfoy, Marissa'.

I held my breath as I shoved on the hat. I let it sort through my mind and thoughts without interrupting it. Soon, the hat yelled out my house.

"Better be GRYFFINDOR!"
