Marissa's POV

"Issa!" I heard Ginny cry.

I sat up groggily. Everything was spinning around me. I couldn't see properly. The noise was overwhelming; people shouting and yelling, people blasting spells. I tried to look around but Ginny pulled me into a room; a quiet one, a different one.

I looked at her questioningly. She sighed and opened her mouth to explain, but some activity in the fireplace stopped her from speaking. She looked at the fireplace sadly and stepped back. I frowned as Draco Malfoy's head appeared in the flames.

"Ah, Marissa," he sneered. "Don't be afraid - actually, do. I have something to tell you."

I nodded slowly.

"Your mother and father will not surrender you to us for me to kill therefore, and this is letting you off with a light circumstance, we will come and kill you, wherever you happen to hide," Draco Malfoy recited, grinning at his own monstrosity. "I will come tomorrow at 5 p m."

And with a final smirk, his face disappeared from the fireplace in a burst of flame. Ginny turned to me, a regretful look on her face.

My hands shook and I felt beads of sweat running down my face. "He's going to kill me," I whispered.

Ginny nodded as I started to cry. She held me tight and I didn't let go - I held on. I would hold on forever, if only I could.

But I couldn't. I was going to die. The man that had taken custody over me for years and years was going to kill me. It just wasn't sinking in. I kept thinking of my future. But I didn't HAVE a future, not anymore. I was going to DIE.

There was a shout as Kingsley ran in and glanced at the fire.

"Look, Kingsley," Arthur was saying. "If that was what Malfoy was planning to do, why not hide? What about Grimmauld?"

"No," Kingsley insisted. "We stay, and we fight. End of."

Arthur gave a helpless sigh and walked out again as Kingsley approached us.

"Was that..." he trailed off.

Ginny modded. She knew, he knew and I knew what he was talking about. Malfoy.

"He's bringing an ARMY," I stammered. "All the remaining Malfoys."

"Not many, then," Kingsley snorted with laughter. "Ministry killed 'em."

I sighed and sat down. "I'm going to die," I said. "I might as well give myself up."

"No," Ginny said stubbornly.

Bella raced in. "Die!?"

I sighed and let the hot tears run down my face. What would it do?

I was going to die anyway.
