Marissa Potter 17 - Scorpius' POV
As Rose walked past, I hung my head so she couldn't see who I was. If anyone found out I liked Rose Weasley my popularity levels would go much lower.
What am I thinking? I've never cared about how popular I was! That was Marissa's job...
I missed her. So much.
Ah! Speaking of the devil, Marissa leapt round the corner and smashed into me. It didn't hurt. I held her elbow so she couldn't run away. I saw her look to her little friends for help, but they kept out of the way. I knew they wanted her to forgive me as well.
"Marissa," I said to catch her attention. It worked. She snapped her head round and scowled.
"Scorpius!" she yelled. "Let go!"
"No," I denied. "I need you to listen."
She scowled even more.
"I'm sorry about what I said."
"Huh."
"Please forgive me."
"No."
"Forgive him, Issa," said the brown haired girl - Bella.
"I can't!" Issa cried unhappily. "Oh, curses!"
She stared at me, waiting. People in the corridor looked at me, too.
"Look, Marissa. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean what I said! It was my natural reaction to Gryffindors."
"Natural-" she whispered.
Immediately I knew I'd said the wrong thing.
"No-" I started, only to be interrupted by a yell.
"NATURAL REACTION?" she screamed. "OH MY GOD. JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE GRYFFINDORS OR HUFFLEPUFFS OR RAVENCLAWS, DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO REACT LIKE THAT! YOU DON'T NEED TO TREAT THEM LIKE SHIT. YOU'RE SUCH A SKANK, SCORPIUS DRACO MALFOY!'
She ripped her arm out of my grasp and stormed off, her little Potter friends running to keep up.
