CHAPTER 9:Why Speechless?(part 2)

Ashton:

This place retells who I was as a teenager.

Although I know it's not good to stay out at mid-morning,and leave mom alone,I wanna stay here.

"Yo!!Kuya,astig ng sports car!!!"some of the hipsters yells.

I just nod to answer them.

I get out of my car and put my car keys on the left pocket of my jeans.

I look around and hear the loud cheer of the kids.

Suddenly,I feel uncomfortable at the kids who approach my car.

"Kuya!!Akin na lang yan ohh!!"one of them yells.

I get irratated so I get inside my car and start the engine,drive away.

I drive fast.

I know it's late to grab a cup of coffee but I will still go to the café.And maybe I'll just grab a frappe.

How unsual this day is.

The door opens.

I sight a beautiful familiar face,Zoe.

~and I will do it for you.....you will never be alone,I love you long after you're gone...~

Sometimes,I hate what this café plays.

It's a song from a man who's half singular,half plural.Philip Philips.

Anyway,Zoe doesn't notice me.

So I let her finish her order,and as she look for a table,I wave to her and share my table.

She look tensed.

She smiles awkwardly as she sits.

Zoe:

I feel tension in my head and heart.So I just smile.

"Hello,Zoe.You doing good??"he asks me.

"Uhm,I---uhm,just----ahhh,ok"It takes minutes for me to answer,don't blame me!!I'm not yet over that kiss!!

"You look tensed honey,calm down."He says as he holds my left hand.

I want to speak but no words ever fall out of my stupid mouth!!

Like,what the heck is this???

I wish some better words stumble out of my mouth.

There's a tension inside me.

Again,for the second time.I'm still not over that kiss.

Don't blame me if I act like this.

"Would you mind having a second date?"he asks me.

Second date?

Uhhhmm..Think,on the first date,there's this passionate kiss.

What will be up for the second date??Sex??!

UGGHH NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nervously,I remove his hands over mine.And this words stumble out:
"Would you mind if our SECOND DATE will be at our house?"

Yeah,just to be sure.

Uh,that's overthinking there!

The 'Overacting' me.

"I love to meet your parents."he answers.

"Good then."I say.

So I sigh in relief...

Finally,I am relaxed.

At home...

"Oh dear Lord!!!Really?!?"

That's my mom's reaction when I tell her about Ashton,coming to our house.

"Yeah.You heard it."I spat.

"I thought it will take billion years for you to have a boy."she kids me.

"Mom?!"I whine.

"Oh,I'm just kidding honey."she says.

"So,when will he visit?"she adds.

"I think, maybe, next week?"I say.

"Oh,I see.I think I'm gonna put out my best recipe."she says.

I just smile to answer her.

For the first time in forever, I am finally getting my own guy.
