Max sat in his usual spot in the back corner where he could see every inch of the tavern along with the people in it. The upside was in that spot no one really noticed his presence other than his mother which meant he got to read in peace or watch his mother work if he wanted; today he chose to (2)people watch.

It didn't take Alex all that long to find his way to the tavern. Upon entering the Mole Barry Tavern Alex was struck with a strange sensation of deja-vu. That feeling continued to grow when a nice older women by the name of Eleanor Clearwater greeted him with a warm motherly smile and told him to sit wherever he would like. (Alex thought it was a little strange that some random women knew his name but just assumed it was due to him being royalty.) Not quite knowing what the customs were for these situations, Alex decided to sit in the back corner that he thought would be great for observing the strange familiar place. Little did Alex know, that very spot was already taken by the young blacksmith by the name of Max.
