Alex's vision had gone completely blank for what seemed like only a few seconds and was then replaced by a vivid memory that was long ago stolen from him. It felt like he was reliving that moment, his heart skipped a beat just like when he first saw the strange little boy with the big emerald green eyes and jet black hair. His stomach did the same flip thing as it did when he first heard Max laugh. Alex remembers the disappointment he felt when his father called him to leave and the twinge of pain in his heart after listening his father's cold words. He finally understood his father's cruelness towards him. Alex's vision began to haze over again being replaced by another blurry sight.

Alex's vision came back to full clarity the same time his brain came to the conclusion that he had passed out at the sight of his long lost love, Max, who was currently leaning over Alex with a very concerned face and was saying his name in a slightly panicked tone. The only thing Alex could manage in that moment was a smile. It was the same childlike smile that made his eyes sparkle and Max's heart thunder, just like the first time he had ever seen it.

Max, slightly horrified that Alex might be suffering from brain trauma and not wanting to leave his beloveds side decided to take Alex on his offer of going back to the castle to catch up on all that had happened since they last talked.
