King Alexander and King Max have been married for a year and happily ruling over the kingdom together. Max -although now royalty- still worked as a blacksmith to pass time making whatever he pleased including the dagger he hand made for his husband on their one year anniversary. The same dagger that Alex carries with him every as a reminder that his knight in shining armor would always be there to protect him even when he wasn't really there to protect him in person. The two had been living happily ever after, ever since the witch's 'tragic' death that no one in the kingdom seemed all that broken up about. Max and Alex had recently started to talk about adopting from the local orphanages and filling there castle with their own little "Patch work family" as Eleanor, Max's mother and Alex's new mother, liked to call it.
Espen had moved into the castle with boys. At first she tried to refuse Alex's kind offer but he was persistent and she could say no to her best friends big puppy dog eyes, so after several speeches from Alex about them all being family and how family is supposed to live together and blah, blah, blah Espen just gave in and agreed to move out of her mother's home in the Dead Forest. Espen knew she wanted to do good in the world so rather than fallow the dark path her mother had set out for her, she chose to make her own path as a medicine women using her powers for good rather than evil.
Eleanor had been moved into the castle along with Espen, the boys wanted nothing more than there hole family under one roof and Eleanor was more than happy to abide. She still worked at The Mole Barry Tavern a few days out of the week but for the most part spent her time with her family and redecorating the castle to have more of a homey felling.
