Dangerous Pursuit

Zac

"So here's the plan," Sandy and Jeremy is listening to me carefully, "I will go back and report to Zaidan......"

"What?" Sandy cuts me and shouted, "Are you listening to yourself Zac?"

"Sandy....."

"Are you nuts? What a stupid plan is that? You know already that you and Jeremy were put as bait and probably they are expecting that you are dead already. And what do you mean by "I"? What will we do? Sit back and wait for you?" Sandy talks without falter.

"You know baby for five years, I really missed that sweet mouth of yours but can I finish first?" I try to antagonize her. Being the lady in the team, me and Jeremy often just shrugged our shoulders whenever she starts to nag. But this is the thing I love about her. Her concern for me and Jeremy is immeasurable. She is a naturally loving person.

"Fine," she mumbles while rolling her eyes.

"But this be better be acceptable," she warns as I open my mouth. I just smiled inwardly. I really want to kiss her now but this is not time for this things. We have a mission to do.

"First of all my love," I wink at her, "I am in charge now, not you or Jeremy." Jeremy just is just looking at the two of us alternately and shook his head.

"Second, Jeremy can't just report back without his memory. He has no access. Third, the more you can't report back because you are definitely out of the league."

"Yeah, I know the obvious, no need to emphasize.........but," I put my fingers on Sandy's mouth to silence her and she just brush me off, "but you are suicidal."

God, I really want to kiss her endlessly.

"Sandy, you are the computer genius and you can't access there you yourself so I will be the one to go and I will hook you up, satisfied?"

"Okay,....but.....you......what if something happen to you?" her face now is so worried, "what is the plan B?" Typical Sandy. While me and Jeremy just want to do the action, she always thinks other possibilities and consequences. We don't usually have Plan B, I admit. She always provides it and knowing her she will not agree not to come and protect me. We are like this, the three of us, we always look at each other's back.

"Sandy, I know what you are thinking, "I look at her seriously and hold her shoulder, "but honestly, I am just thinking of your welfare. Melissa needs you back."

Sandy look down and a lone tear drop on her cheeks. I pull her to my chest and hug her.

She steps away from me and brush her tears off. "Zac, really, I appreciate how you put me first because of Melissa but we have to do these together. Chances of succeeding is bigger if we are together. I already prepared myself for this. I want us to succeed for the safety of the future of Melissa.  And whoever will be lucky to survive this madness, I ask a favor that any of you two will give my letter and video to Melissa."

I open my mouth and can't retort back. She really planned this far? Her possible death? I can't blame her.

"Don't look at me like that. I am a mother now Zac. Unlike before that I can still play around."

I raise my hand in surrender. "Fine, fine. I get your point but we need to ease a little. Okay I agree with you. We will do it together. Just hear me out first okay?"

She nods and sat on the couch. Jeremy is in his deep thoughts while listening to the two of us.

"I can still enter the system of the organization so I will be the one to report to the center. You and Jeremy will be my back up. So you will still come with me but not inside. You will be outside the parameters of their alarms. You are well aware of those things, Sandy. I will activate my access and you will use that access to grab what you can grab from the system. Jeremy will stay with you to be your look out. You can't do hacking and looking out at the same time, right?"
