Gary observed the abandoned street, wondering when his impending death would occur. There was no doubt in his mind that Kyle would find him and kill him. He hated Gary for helping the police find him. Gary gave Kyle and the police both equal chances and unfortunately for Kyle, the police won. It wasn't his fault Kyle wasn't good enough at hiding from the police. Kyle did good for a long time but then Kelly came along and ruined him. He could have gone down in history for his crimes. He had so much potential but he wasted it. That wasn't Gary's problem yet he would pay for it.
Knowing that his time was limited, Gary decided he had to be spontaneous. He wanted to go on a killing spree before his time was up. He rarely would kill without doing his research on the person but he didn't have time for that. He needed the thrill of killing before he died. This is what Gary lived for anyway.
It didn't take him long to find an easy target. It was in the middle of the afternoon which was risky but he didn't care. He was in Colorado, not wanting to be far from the action. He had to keep an eye on Robbins. They had a special relationship. Gary was her first arrest as a detective. Walking along the side of the busy city street was a girl who was in her early twenties, maybe even younger. He preferred the younger the better but she seemed young enough that he couldn't be too picky. She was wearing a very short red mini skirt and a black v-neck shirt that slowed a little too much. She had long brunette hair that swayed back and forth as she walked.
He figured he'd do the world a favor for once and get rid of one less slut walking around. He slowly drove his car and pulled up next to her. He wasn't sure if she was just dressed slutty or if she was a prostitute. Either way, if she was stupid enough to get in a car with a stranger then she deserved to die.
"Hello, Love." He shouted loud enough for her to stop walking and look at him.
"Do I know you?" She asked, making it obvious that she was checking him out.
Gary ran his fingers through his jet black hair and smiled softly at her. He was such a good actor that if he hadn't been a criminal, acting would have been a great career choice. He knew the ladies loved his accent so talking was always a good idea for him.
"I just couldn't help but notice how beautiful you are and was wondering if you wanted to come back to my place and hang out." He smiled again, knowing he had her hooked on his charm.
"Sure, I never pass up a chance to have some fun." She laughed.
Gary was sure that she never passed up a chance to have fun. He smiled to himself knowing how easy this was going to be. She walked to the passenger side door and got into his car. Her cheap perfume filled his car. Honestly, if she had refused him he would have left her alone but this is what she gets for being a whore.
"What's your name?" He asked even though he really didn't care.
"Lauren. You?" She asked, smiling.
"Gary." He said.
Lauren sang loudly to the radio as he drove her back to his house that he had bought about a year ago. He had many places to stay at throughout the country when he needed to hide from the police. He was always moving, always planning. This house was certainly in the middle of nowhere, but Lauren didn't even seem to care about that. She had another chance to tell him to let her go and he probably would have. Sadly, her poor decision would get her killed.
Lauren didn't know that once she entered the front door, she wouldn't be leaving. She followed closely behind Gary towards the front door. Gary had installed a security system that only he could activate. It would lock all the doors and windows in the house and could only be unlocked by a password that only Gary knew. Once they were inside, Gary smiled largely. It was too late for you, Lauren.
