5 years later.
August and Asia in MM
I kissed Asia's chin as she laid on top of me. I loved this girl with all my heart and she reminded me of myself in a way.

"Ya tired, baybeh?" I asked.

"No," she said, sleepily.

"Asia, go ya ass ta sleep. You been up since 5 this mornin'."

She wrapped ha arms around my torso. "Put me to bed babe."

I kissed ha all ova ha face and ended it on ha lips. Afterwards, I started playin' in ha hair. She always fall asleep when I play in it.

Once I heard light snores, I slowly slid ha off of me and got up. I walked into Taylor's room ta find ha sleeping. (Pic of Taylor)

She looked so peaceful and she's grown so much. What bothers me is the way she talks about Roni. I still think about ha all of the time and its been 5 years. I hear things about ha from time ta time. Apparently, she's married ta that white boy and they have kids.

I walked down the hall into Alexis's room. She was sprawled out on the bed like always. I smiled at ha cause she looked just like Desire. Fa a while, Desire and I dated but, it didn't work out like I knew it wouldn't. We grew apart and bein' around each other just made us feel guilty about the person that we hurt. (Alexis below)

Life turned out good fa me but, a part of me was missin' and I've been feeling like this for these past few years.

I heard footsteps down the hall and turned around to see my beautiful fiancé. She smiled at me while I admired the freckles that covered ha face. "August, what are you doing?" she asked.

"I'm just about ta go take a shower. Why?"

"Can I come?"

"Whatchu askin' me fa?" I asked, smirkin'.

I entered the house after a long day at the doctor's office. I didn't mean to stay out long cause I know Jose isn't gonna like that.

I walked into our bedroom to find him laying in our bed watching tv. "Hey baby," I said, immediately taking my clothes off.

"Wassup," he said dryly.

"I'm sorry I'm late."

"You always sorry. I feel like you hiding something."

"Why would you think that?"

"Cause you always fucking late!" he yelled, causing me to jump.

"I was at the doctors office late! Damn, you can't understand English?"I yelled, covering my mouth right after.

He got up and slowly walked over to me. "What the fuck you said?"

I opened my mouth to say something but he slapped me in my face causing me to fly into the wall. "Get up!" he yelled.

I got up and he turned me around so I was facing the wall. He put my hand behind my back and applied pressure. "Don't ever talk to me like that again. You hear me?"

I nodded and he kissed my neck. "I love you aight?"

Tears fell from my eyes at those words. He didn't love me, well at least not anymore. I don't know what happened. Before Jose and I got married, everything was perfect and we barely ever had problems. Since then, everything went down the drain. The only good thing that's come from this our daughter and son. I had Amira 3 years ago.

We adopted Kayden two years ago when he was 12.
He's 14 now and I love him like I gave birth to him. There was a huge debate on whether I should adopt and older child since I was only 21 but, I couldn't refuse him.

I make sure that they never see what happens between Jose and I. It would break their hearts to witness that. I didn't wanna ruin their childhood.

I walked to the guest room, got in the bed, and cried. A part of me was missing and I didn't know how to find it.

I was broken and I didn't know if I could be strong any longer.

Jose hit me everyday, sometimes for reasons I didn't know. I didn't know where to run to.

I needed to get my life together.

Well, this book has taken a whole turn. Obviously this is a time jump.

Don't go crazy...August and Devronica will meet again but, what will they be?
