Confused
And full of fear.
You left me here,
After you swore
You wouldn't disappear.
You left me here,
Thinking that you
Would always be near.
You lied to me,
Told false promises
Of what would be.
You lied to me,
But I was naive
And didn't see.
You lied to me,
Got me hoping,
But now we are just a memory.
You were my friend,
One of the best
The fates were to ever send.
You were my friend,
Someone
That I would defend.
You were my friend,
But even the best friendships
Always seem to end.
