We're not as close as we used to be,
You and me.
Now drifting apart,
You, with a piece of my heart.
We used to tell eachother everything,
I thought one day you would hold out a ring.
But you went astray,
To my great dismay.
I thought we were in love,
Had something others could only dream of.
But something was not right,
With you coming home late in the night.
And I soon figured out,
What you were all about.
Lying in bed with another,
While I waited up like your mother.
Waiting for you to come and hold me,
For it to be how it used to be.
But I had been betrayed,
And watched our love fade.
As our memories went to dust,
That was the end of us.
