I laugh,
But it is not real.
Listen carefully, it's
Broken.
No longer full of happiness,
Light and joyful,
But stiff and forced,
Fake.
I smile,
But it is a mask.
Hidden from sight is my
Depression.
No longer bright,
Lively and infectious,
But tightlipped and effortful
Tiring.
The spark in my eyes absent,
The bounce in my step missing,
The warmth in my touch lost,
The hole in my heart empty.
My hope for life,
Gone...
