I miss the feeling
That everything will be okay.
I miss the feeling
That I used to feel everyday.
I miss the happiness
That my life once could be.
I miss the happiness,
That my life once brought me.
I miss the feeling,
That everything was bright and good.
I miss the feeling,
But now I know more than I should.
I miss the feeling of ignorance,
Of how it brought me such bliss.
I miss the feeling of ignorance,
The security blanket I thought I'd never miss.
Now I miss the feeling
Of the cold metal against my skin.
I miss the feeling
Of the darkness seeping in.
I miss that relief
That washes over me once it's done.
I miss the relief,
Though the pain I can never outrun.
I miss the feeling
Of that cloud looming above.
I miss the feeling
That I'm the one that deserves no love.
I miss the darkness
That I once fought.
I miss the darkness
That had centered in my every thought.
Now I miss the feeling
Of that hopelessness inside.
I miss the feeling;
It showed me I could survive.
....I miss the feeling
Because I'm no longer alive.
