CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

For Their Fans

Such revelation of the true identity of Gabrielle Ruiz had made both Geoffrey and Leianne one of the most sought after celebrity couple by the press photographers. Geoffrey, Leianne as well as their children were offered product endorsement deals. They were also asked to do a commercial ad campaign for TFBC and Canyan’s Best. They were also asked for a feature for several magazines.

The revelation of her identity didn’t only boost the sales of her books but also the sales of Canyan’s Best and TFBC.

Geoffrey was used to the limelight. He had experienced such before. So he guided Leianne on how to get used to it.

On their valentine date, where they decided to watch a valentine dinner concert in a grand ballroom of Canyan Hotel, she had been approached by the performers as well as her elite fans in the audience for signature.

On their way home aboard his SUV, he told her. “You’re now a celebrity, honey. You’ve got more fans than  I had.”

She responded, “Well, I’m kind of starting to regret revealing the true identity of Gabrielle Ruiz.”

He told her, “You need to hire your own personal assistant. So that whenever you go, she can take charge of the people asking for your signature. You won’t be able to accommodate every fan. So just limit it to a certain number. Your personal assistant can also remind you with your schedules and assist you in almost all your activities outside.”

She said, “I’ll do that after our vacation trip.”

He suggested, “You can have my former personal assistant if you want. She stopped working for me when I had my accident. She went to my office a couple of days ago to ask for financial assistance for her sick son. Her husband recently died and she has a son and  daughter to support. She stopped working when she got married. I referred her to Torres Charity Funds.”

She agreed, “I’ll hire her then. The soonest the best I think. My website is frequently visited and I need someone to answer for all the comments and mails. She can do those things while we are on vacation.”

He said, “I’ll ask Alexis to contact her then.”

She told her, “I need an office space near the penthouse for her and the support team that my agent had hired for my website.”

He informed her, “You can use the other condominium unit I have at the fifth level of our building. I used it before for my support team as well when I was still active in basketball, modeling, showbiz and racing. It’s vacant. Just have it furnished then.”

She then asked her, “What about your fans? I think you should set up your own website as well.”

He told her, “It’s not that important, honey.”

She reasoned out, “Every successful CEO has his/her own website, honey. I’ll ask the IT group who designed my website to design one for you as well. I also hired them for the official website of Canyan’s Best.”

He didn’t debate with her anymore, “Okay. At least it’s a way to just let our fans know some details of our lives through those websites. We can control what info to release.”

She then changed their topic. “Leilani wants me to be a godmother to her son. We need to attend the baptismal this coming Sunday. They already moved to the new house and lot, she had purchased from her modeling jobs.”

“Okay,” he uttered. “Have you decided already when to tell them about the income of the company you want to share with them.”

Her response was, “Alyanna had already decided to have her own interior design business despite her paralysis. I’ll hire her then to design your other condominium unit as my office space. I’ll tell them and give them access to the accounts.”
