Phil's POV:
The smell of the blaze faded as I approached a lake. A small cabin sat beside it and shed about 20 metres away. At this point I looked worse than I did when we used to get beat up. I just needed to get fixed up and go back to camp. I couldn't see anyone around the cabin and there was no signs of life at all so I went over to the cabin to see if there was anyone home. I knocked on the door multiple times before walking in. The cabin was well furnished and the smell of food was apparent. The owners probably left. I could get some first aid and food and go back. It had been 10 minuets before I found the first aid but at the exact moment I grabbed it I heard the door open.
Someone was in the house. I ran out of the room I was in and over to a closet before closing it and locking it.
"Who's here?" I heard a voice from downstairs. It was a calm squeaky voice. I heard light foot steps up the stair before I could clearly see a face through the crack in the door. It was a short young boy with longish brown hair. I could see him approaching the closet before grabbing the handle.
"Locked?" He walked away after wiggling the handle. Minuets later he returned with a key. My heart started to beat faster and faster until the door swung open and it felt like my heart stopped. I was holding a first aid kit and it looked like a dragon got ahold of me and tried killing me.
"Well, you know this isn't your house right?" He looked straight at me smiling the widest smile.
"Yeah, I, um."
"Hey, it's ok, you look like you have a reason to break into my house and hide in my closet." He backed up a bit before grabbing my hand a helping me out if the closet.
"Let's go get you fixed up. Um I never got your name."
"My names Phil, yours?"
"Oh um, I'm Damon."
