"There they are.", I said.

I continued to eat my food then Meek put his hand in my bag and took some fries.

"Stop taking my fries. You had yours."

"Stop being mean to me. Girls she's being mean to me."

"Stop being mean mommy.", Maria said.

"Mom can I have a fry?", India asked.

I gave them one and Meek held his hand out.

"No. You ate half the bag. No more for you."

I drunk some of my shake and he grabbed some more of my fries.

"Asshole."

"Kids in the car. Language."

"Then stop taking my fries."

"Ma.", India said.

"Yes India?"

"I'm hungry."

I looked at Meek and he looked at India.

"I need to check your folder first. If everything's good then we'll go to get something to eat. If not, then we will be eating what's at the house.", Meek said.

"My house or yours?"

"Mine. Chapo needs to be back at my house and then I have to pack."

"Packing for what?", Maria asked.

"I'm going to Philly for a few days. I'll be back though.", Meek said.

"Okay."

We walked in Meek's house and Chapo ran past me, picking up his chew toy.

"Come on Chapo. Lets go outside before you pee in here.", I said.

I opened the back door and once he was outside I closed it and went to the kitchen.

"Folders.", Meek said.

I sat down in a chair and Meek stood behind me. We watched the girls get their folders out their bookbag and put them on the table.

"Mommy can you check my folder today?", Maria asked.

"Yep. Give it here."

She handed it to me and I checked it then nodded.

"Everything looks good. Now time to do your homework."

I took out the sheet she had to do then India handed her folder to Meek. Meek sat next to me and looked at her folder. I looked at his face then he looked up at India.

"So you did bad on this test and hiding homework again."

I looked at her and shook my head.

"India and I are going to go somewhere real quick. Maria be good. Nic you have the house."

"Okay. Don't do anything crazy.", she said and I nodded.

I kissed her forehead then walked out the house with India.

"Come on India. Lets go walk real quick."
