The Beast Inside

Guilt

I went straight into my room and went under my covers. Life is so unfair I mean one moment I'm like I wish life was more exciting and then the next moment I wish this day was a dream. I prosesed what was going one for a while and thought I was gonna loose it. I then heard my mum making her way to my room so I went under my covers. "Um are you hungry." She said getting no response I felt bad but I couldn't talk to anyone right now. "I'll just leave it down here." She said as I heard her put the plate down and exit my room.

I woke up in the middle of the night realising I dozed off and put my head up. I looked at the plate it had a burger and some chips. I was starving and couldn't get back to sleep so I got out of bed, took the plate and quietly made my way downstairs trying not to wake anyone up.

I warmed up the food and started to eat. While eating I found the food tasted much better. It was like my taste buds had changed and it felt weird but i didn't think to much into it. Istarted to think about some good times my dad and I shared. It made me smile but that smile was quickly wiped off when I remembered that the last thing I said to him was I hated him because we were in an argument the other night. I finished the food and put the plate on the sink with a piece of paper that said thanks stuck on it. I washed my hands and quietly creeped back to bed.

I couldn't sleep with all the guilt taking over my mind. After a few minutes I saw the hall way lights turn on along with my mum's footsteps. She knocked on my door and came in. When she did she imedietly looked on the floor checking if I had the food. She then came towards me and sat at the end of my bed. "We need to be strong that's what your dad would of wanted." She said while I just looked at her in silence. "And that's the same when I go to." Tears started forming in her eyes. I hugged her and told her never to say anything like that again. "Well goodnight then." She said as she left the room.
