Homework

I woke up the next morning and realised my alarm was turned off but I still somehow was able to wake up before school. I rubbed my eyes and stretched before walking downstairs. I saw my mum drinking her tea, she saw me come down. "Oh I thought I turned your alarm off. I thought you wouldn't want to go to school after what happened last night."

I told her that I didn't mind going and so she gave me breakfast. After that I got ready for school and that's when I remembered the math homework. I went to tell mum but she already got me a note she knows me to well.

I then started to walk to Dwaynes house thinking about if I had to tell Dwayne about my dad. I got to his house and knocked. When the door opened I saw Dwayne and his mum. "Oh I Mrs Wilson." I said to her she didn't usually come to the door. "Are you alright your mum told me everything." She said.

"Oh right, yeah I'm fine I guess." I replied.

"Dwayne knows what your going through. When his dad died you looked out for him and now he will do the same." She said as she put her hand through Dwaynes afro.

"Uhh we should be getting to school." Dwayne said. His mum agreed and we started to go off. We didn't speak much while going to school but when we got there first period was math.

"Alright class homework now." Mrs said as she walked across the class colecting the homework. When she came to me I gave her the note and she nodded. She then went to Max. "Homework sir." She said. "How come Fang doesn't have to give his homework." Max said.

"He has a note and a valid excuse." She said.

"I don't care if he doesn't then I won't." Max argued.

"Yes you will young man." She said.

"Nope." He said. This was giving me a headache. Both Mrs and Max kept arguing until I broke.

"My dad died last night okay." I shouted and everyone just stared at me.
