Letting go of the past

First thing the next day we were out flying towards Dexters HQ. I flew faster than usual to be in front of Rose. I just couldn't believe that she kept something like that. Not telling me that Max was basically her brother. It annoys me so much.

When we got there I landed on the glass roof and so did Rose. "There's a back door that's not guarded. Max should be there." I said to her while looking down.

"Fang I need your help with this." She said to me.
"I... I can't." I said.
"Please Fang I need your help. I'm sorry for not telling you." She said.
"Its not about that. This is Max you don't understand what he's done to me." I said.
"That wasn't him. That was the bear you helped Dwayne even after everything he done." She said.
"Max even before he became the bear ruined my life with years of bullying." I said.
"Fine if you won't do it for him do it for me. Please Fang in need you." Rose pleeded.
"Ugh fine. Let's go." I said.

We both flew to the back door. I didn't know if anyone in there but there could be a chance that someone would. I peeked through the key hole but couldn't see anything. "Its pitch black in there. Let's take our chances." I said.
"Wait." Rose said. She walked towards the door and put her hand on it.
"What are you."
"Shhh." She said. "I can sense presence in a room." She explained. "Okay there's someone in there but they are injured. It could be Max but if it isn't then they are injured." Rose said. I nodded and opened the door.

As we walked in a bright light turned on. The room was pretty much empty apart from a bed in the middle. I went towards it and it was Max sleeping. Rose nodded at me and I nodded back. I started shaking Max and whispered his name. Suddenly he grabbed my neck with his metal arm but then dropped me straight away when he opened his eyes. "Huh oh,wow I'm sorry." He said.

"It's alright we're here to help you." Rose said. "We're not gonna let Dexter kill you."
"Why would you do that." Max asked her.
"Because." Rose said. "Max do you remember a little girl who used be your sister before your parents gave her away."
"Um yeah her name was..." Max said.
"Rose." Rose started taking off the paper that covered her eyes. "Its me."
"All this time its been you." Max said getting up. I started hearing noises.
"Don't want to break this moment up but we better get out of here." They both agrred.
"Alright Rose you go distract them. I'll take care of Max." I said"
"Are you sure."Rose said
"Trust me I know what I'm doing. And take this ear piece." I said she nodded and flew in.
"Look Fang I'm sorry for all I've done ever but I hope we can let go off the past." Max said putting his arm out to give me a hand shake. I couldn't do it not after everything he had done to me.
"You need to go to some place hidden here take this." I said ignoring his hand shake and I gave him a piece of paper that told him how to get to the house Rose used live in. "There food and water and other things like washed cloath. I'll come and get you after everything is over." Max nodded and ran off.

"Rose are you there." I said into the ear piece but there was no answer. I flew onto the glass roof and saw Rose in a chair tied up and Dexter looking ready. He knows I'm coming. I flew up and came down smashing the glass. The shattered glass fell all over the place apart from one place in the middle. I landed there and looked up at Dexter. "Let end this"
