I know running was the coward thing to do but I couldn't take much more of it. Plus the fact that the guy who gave Max these powers name is Dexter he could be my killer. I went home and washed my parshley bloody face. I also had some blood in my mouth so I had to spit that out. I quietly did that and went to bed hoping my mum wouldn't wake up.
The next day at school Dwayne kept asking if I was okay after last night. I kept telling him I was fine. Soon after he stopped asking he bought up Amelia.
"What about Amelia?" I asked.
"Alright I swear she's like been staring at you like everyday." Dwayne said.
"So." I said confused.
"Mate she likes you." Dwayne said.
"Just coz she stares at me." I said.
"Nah but the way she stares at you it like when you stare at her." Dwayne explained.
"Yeah so it's not like I have the balls to ask her out." I said.
"But you have the ball to fight a guy in a robot bear suit and make fun off him." Dwayne said.
"Max is easy to make fun off." I said.
"Max?" Dwayne said.
"Oh I didn't tell you Max is the bear." I said.
"Oh anyway. You do it or I do it for you." Dwayne said.
"Okay okay." I said. "But how."
"She's over there with her friends okay. I'll go there and tell her to go to to you. You'll be standing here." Dwayne explained.
"Whatever man." I said.
"You better not mess up." Dwayne said as he ran to the group. Wait oh my gosh why did I say I'm gonna do this. I goota back I'll go tell him now... oh she's coming. Alright stay come.
"Hey Fang you wanted to see me." She said.
"Uh yeah I wanted to ask you something." I said so nervously.
"Yeah." She said.
"Do you um maybe uh... wanna... you know go... If you want to you know don't... have to..." I said but then got inturupted.
"Yeah okay tonight meet me and the park fountain at 7:00." She said.
"Yeah tonight 7 got it." I said in joy.
"Yep see ya then." She said walking back to her friends. Dwayne came back then and showed me his phone. It was a video it me asking her out.
"Your a dick." I said to him.
